Countryman in 2026 — what's new
For 2026, the Countryman gains limited-run S editions: 18 Fiery Stallions from RM261k and 48 Desert Nights at RM255k, the latter with adaptive cruise control. The S All4 CKD price rises by RM2k to RM261k. The electric Countryman gets a silicon-carbide inverter and 65.2 kWh net battery for up to 500 km WLTP. A 2027 Untamed Edition follows with higher ground clearance, all-terrain tyres and rugged styling cues.
Which variant to buy
Most buyers should take the S Electric at RM258,888: it is the range entry point, has 313 hp, AWD and a 432 km claimed range. Choose the RM260,888 S All4 if petrol is non-negotiable; it has AWD and 201 hp from its 1,998 cc engine. The JCW costs RM389,888, adding 296 hp and a wet dual-clutch automatic. Pay that RM129,000 premium only if the JCW mechanicals are your priority.
Verdict
The Countryman choice is unusually direct: the S Electric delivers 313 hp, AWD and a 432 km claimed range, while the S All4 retains a 1,998 cc petrol engine for a RM2,000 step-up. Among the listed electric SUV rivals, the electric entry variant costs RM10,000 more than the Volvo EC40, RM8,088 more than the BMW iX1 and RM6,088 more than the BMW iX1 L.
