The latest Ford EcoSport has been named the official vehicle in Marvel Studios’ upcoming blockbuster – Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 – demonstrating that “you don’t have to be Groot to go small and live big.”
The collaboration will also include a special edition comic book limited to 500 printed examples and will be available digitally for a short period of time. The comic highlights the compact SUV’s fun, capable and connected features, and will include the EcoSport, Groot, Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax and Rocket.
Not only that, United States citizens can stand a chance to win a brand new EcoSport in the “Be the Guardian of Your Galaxy” sweepstakes. Entrants will stand a chance to not only win the car, but a receive a hometown screening of the movie, one of 150 custom illustrations by a Marvel artist depicting the fan as a galactic hero, and “plenty of swag.”
“EcoSport is our smallest SUV, designed for active customers who need a compact, connected vehicle that enables richer experiences with family and friends. Teaming up with Marvel is a perfect way to share how EcoSport turns every drive into a chance to live big, enabling our Earth-bound customers to experience as many adventures as Guardians of the Galaxy offers,” said Chantel Lenard, executive director at Ford US marketing.
In the US, the EcoSport is offered with a choice of a 1.0 litre EcoBoost turbo three-cylinder engine and a 2.0 litre naturally-aspirated four-cylinder. Significantly redesigned from the inside out, the EcoSport also gets new technologies such as the new SYNC 3 infotainment system, a blind spot monitoring system and a Bang & Olufsen Play sound system.

Ford must be desperate because I personally can see absolutely no logical reason for this association. If Ford improved their customer service as their top priority people would be happy buy buy their cars without these meaningless promotions.
No this cannot be…we want honda brv…thats what all Malaysians want…how can they feature a global car instead of a lowcost vehicle meant for third world countries..we want brv…we want brv…ok all Malaysians lets go on the streets and rally…we must protest…kita ubah galaxy…
Featured or to feature?
The fact that U asked the question show U already know the answer. Are U trying 2 show “How smart U are”!? Look/read at the points instead of the faults.
Foo-Yoh. This small SUV in America have technologies such as the new SYNC 3 infotainment system, a blind spot monitoring system, a Bang & Olufsen Play sound system. Don’t play-play.
Must be a miniscule galaxy for a tiny SUV.
problem is the car…vastly outdated and outclassed
Anyone considering Ford and this model please think twice or thrice. Do not get as the warranty and parts are difficult to get and ford charges exhorbitant pricing.
I have own this model for the past three years plus. Two years extended warranty was offered by Tune insurance. I had issues with the aircond compressor and i have issues claiming it. The quote for aircond compressor cost RM 4.3K.
Anyone wants to own Ford think five times. I have regretted much. The service rendered by Tune is the worst while Ford cant help much.
