Ford Ranger Raptor coming to Malaysia – KLIMS 2018

At long last, the much anticipated Ford Ranger Raptor will finally be launched in Malaysia, and it will make its grand appearance at the Kuala Lumpur International Motor Show (KLIMS 2018) this Friday, November 23, at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC).

There’s not much left to say about the high-performance pick-up truck, really. Under the bonnet is the all-new 2.0 litre bi-turbo EcoBlue diesel engine, making 213 PS and 500 Nm of torque. It’s mated to a new 10-speed automatic transmission with Raptor-specific control logic, which makes use of the multiple drive modes under the Terrain Management System.

While the engine and transmission are the same as the Ranger Wildtrak, the chassis and suspension cannot be any more different. To know more on the differences, click here. Meanwhile, enjoy the video, as well as the epic set of action photos below. Be sure to visit the Ford booth at KLIMS – see you guys there!

the past few postings about Ford Ranger – all the owners complain that the gearbox always kaput and the door handles cannot work.

      Wish prospective buyers good luck!

I hope this car is competitively priced. We must thank Ford for making all SUVs give us more than 6 airbags now.

To me, it is a hard choice. Hilux or Ranger. But I prefer Ranger cause it has VSC

I think safer to buy Hilux despite it being lesser spec because Ford Ranger cars confirm got gearbox problem.

Come here sure RM250,000 because Malaysia has the highest car prices in the world. Bad habits brought forward from 60 years of heavy corruption

        • What tax you talking now? Trucks dont pay excise duty. If it comes from an ASEAN country, it is exempted from import duty. You only need to pay SST. So if its expensive, definitely sime darby is marking up the prices.

Calling it Raptor …..it’s hilarious. Is it really that tough and can it last?

It’s a machine that can breakdown anytime if pushed hard enough.

This is a well known fact. This is because SDAC is a GLC and you cannot expect much from GLC mentality. 3 months wait for parts is pretty normal
