The paultan.org Premium Auto Car Expo (PACE) is returning this year from November 2 and 3, 2019 at the Setia City Convention Centre, co-sponsored by Michelin and TyrePlus. Once again, Volkswagen will be taking part, and there will be a host of deals on offer from the German marque. If you’ve been thinking about purchasing a Volkswagen Golf, here’s a good opportunity.
The Volkswagen Golf will be at the expo with two variants, which will be a good time to jump for a purchase if you’ve been on the fence; the Golf 1.4 TSI R-Line and the Golf GTI will be available at PACE 2019 each, with a RM2,000 rebate from RM173,390 and RM246,490 respectively. In terms of financing on a 90% loan, that works out to a monthly instalment of RM1,750 for the Golf 1.4 TSI R-Line and RM2,496 for the Golf GTI.
The Golf 1.4 TSI R-Line features a 1.4 litre turbocharged inline-four petrol engine which produces 150 PS at 5,000 rpm to 6,000 rpm and 250 Nm of torque from 1,500 rpm to 3,500 rpm, channeled to the front wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission with XDS extended differential lock. The 0-100 km/h sprint takes 8.2 seconds, and its top speed is 216 km/h.
Meanwhile, the famed hot hatch nameplate, the Golf GTI cranks out 230 PS from 4,700 rpm to 6,200 rpm and 350 Nm of torque from 1,500 rpm to 4,600 rpm, sent to the front wheels via a six-speed wet-dual-clutch transmission. The 0-100km/h run is done in 6.4 seconds, and the GTI’s top speed is 248 km/h. Other Volkswagen models will be at PACE 2019 too, as will numerous other makes.
