If you’ve noticed the strong value proposition of high-performance EVs, you’d also know that the tax-free window for these CBU imported models is closing at the end of 2025, with no extension in sight.
Simply put, come next year, they won’t be such performance bargains anymore. Without the CBU tax exemption for EVs, duties equivalent to the rate imposed on ICE and hybrid cars could bring prices of Lotus EVs up by over RM200k. So, this is the last call for electric beasts like the Eletre and Emeya at current prices, which is from RM459,000.
It really is a case of now or never, but if you need extra motivation to act, Lotus Cars Malaysia will be having a roadshow at Bangsar Shopping Centre (BSC) from November 12-16, and they’ll be bringing some carrots. It’s a continuation of Lotus’ promotion at the paultan.org ACE 2025 show last weekend, so if you missed out on that, heed this final call.
Customers who make a booking at the BSC roadshow and successfully register their vehicle are entitled to either a complimentary full-body colour wrap using TECK WRAP or a complimentary front-half 3M Paint Protection Film (PPF) application. With the former option, you get to choose from an unlimited range of colours, with samples provided by experts Motorsports Playground.
It will be a high quality job and you’ll have a car that stands out in your favourite shade. Or if you love Lotus’ signature colours, the 3M PPF will ensure that your Eletre or Emeya looks factory fresh a couple of years down the road.
Even better, there’s another carrot in the form of one year of free insurance from Allianz. This deal is only available at the BSC roadshow, for those who book the Eletre and Emeya from November 12-16 and successfully register their EV before December 15, 2025. While stocks last. Terms and conditions apply. For more details and personalised service, RSVP here.
If you were at ACE 2025 last weekend, you’d have seen an Emeya in pink. The car, called the Emeya ‘Pink Sakura’ Edition, will also be at BSC, and is part of the Lotus Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign.
More than just a striking pink finish, it represents a meaningful cause through Lotus Cars Malaysia’s partnership with the Breast Cancer Welfare Association (BCWA). Every booking or purchase helps support breast cancer awareness – with every successful booking and registration, RM2,000 will be donated to BCWA. If you opt for the pink wrap courtesy of Motorsport Playground, Lotus will donate RM5,000. Like what you see? Do good and go for pink!
