日前，有网民在社交媒体平台Facebook的大马电动车主俱乐部（Malaysian Electric Vehicle Owners Club）群组内分享数张他在南北大道上发现一辆Ford Explorer EV的照片。
不过奇怪的是，照片中的“主角”挂上了德国注册车牌，显然这辆Explorer EV的出现并不是为了准备来到我国市售，也非在进行路测，而是有不同的目的。
仔细来看，这辆Explorer EV的车侧贴上了“Charge around the Globe”的贴纸，后挡风玻璃也有相同标签的贴纸。在好奇心之下，我们上网搜查了一些资料。
从中，我们发现一位来自于海外的女旅行家Alexis Alford，正在驾驶Explorer EV进行着一趟环球旅行。她也是吉尼斯世界纪录的保持者（以21岁年纪成为最年轻走遍世界各国的人）。
Alexis Alford的这趟电动车环球之旅是在去年9月，从法国南部尼斯开始启程，目标是覆盖地表六大洲和30多个国家，以成为驾驶电动车环球旅行的第一人。
值得一提的是，Ford European News官方新闻也在1月5日于Instagram上分享了Alexis Alford驾驶Explorer EV进入不丹的情况。截至当时的情况，她已行驶了75天，以及14,890公里。
由此可见，过去的一周，这款电动车可能已入境，并穿越大马。事实上，Alexis Alford这次驾驶的是一辆未正式量产的Explorer EV，我们在网上看到的车辆挂着不同的车牌是因为有好几辆相同车款参与这次的旅程。
Ford Explorer EV是一辆专为欧洲而设计的紧凑型跨界SUV，也是Ford与Volkswagen合作之下首款采用Volkswagen MEB平台的Ford电动车，其长宽高分别为5,050mm、2,002mm，以及1,783mm，轴距则是3,025mm。
动力方面，新车的顶配版搭载了双电动马达形成四驱系统（亦有单马达后驱版可选），综合最大输出功率为340 PS马力，以及545 Nm的峰值扭矩。根据官方数据，其最大续航里程为498公里，从10-80%的充电时间只需25分钟。
