- The V6 TDI range includes two performance levels, the 45 TDI and the 50 TDI. They deliver 170 kW (231 hp) with 500 Newton meters or 210 kW (286 hp) and 600 Newton meters.
- For the first time, customers can choose one of four light signatures for the digital OLED rear lights.
- For the first time, customers can choose four light signatures for the digital daytime running lights.
- For the first time, the Q7 also features largely digitalized OLED rear lights (OLED = organic light emitting diode) as an optional extra with four various light signatures.
- If desired, customers can order HD Matrix LED headlights with Audi laser light. The laser light becomes active starting at 70 km/h and significantly increases the the high beam range.
- The Audi Q7 supports drivers with an extensive range of assistance systems.
- With optional all-wheel steering the back wheels turn up to five degrees in the opposite direction to the front wheels. This reduces the turning radius and increases manageability.
- Electronically controlled air suspension with a continuously adaptive damping system – adaptive air suspension or adaptive air suspension sport are available as optional equipment.
- Even the standard equipment, with its balanced steel spring suspension, ensures a consistent driving experience in the Q7.
- The V6 TDI engines with an electrically operated compressor and 48-volt main electrical system can reduce consumption in customer operation by up to 0.5 liters per 100 kilometers.

- The 48-volt main electrical system can reduce fuel consumption by up to 0.5 liters per 100 kilometers. Its components are a lithium-ion battery and a belt starter generator (RSG), which supplies the main electrical system with power.
- The Electronic Suspension Platform (EFP), which is used in the SQ7 TFSI, is the central control unit for the suspension. Taking numerous parameters into account, customers benefit from enhanced driving dynamics and comfort.
- The sports differential shifts the drive torque between the rear wheels as required when cornering at speed. This makes handling even more agile and precise.

- Active roll stabilization (eAWS) acts electromechanically on the anti-roll bars, ensuring a high level of ride comfort when driving straight ahead and reducing lateral tilt when cornering at speed.

- In the V8 engine of the SQ7, the turbochargers are mounted in the 90-degree inner V of the cylinder banks. The exhaust side of the cylinder heads is on the inside, the intake side on the outside. This layout enables a compact design and short gas flow paths with minimal flow losses.
- At low to medium loads and engine speeds, the cylinder on demand system deactivates cylinders 2, 3, 5 and 8 in the upper gears. The switchover process takes just milliseconds and is practically imperceptible.
- The Audi SQ7 TFSI is equipped with a specific exhaust system with full-fledged and visually appealing tailpipes. For a sporty sound, the two outer tailpipes of the exhaust system are fitted with a flap that modulates the sound depending on the load and engine speed.
