The BYD Atto 2 carries into 2026 unchanged in Malaysia, with the sole Premium variant retaining its 51.1 kWh battery, 345 km range and 174 hp motor. Europe gains a larger-battery Atto 2 in late 2025, with 64.8 kWh, 430 km WLTP range, more power and DC charging up to 155 kW, but that version is not confirmed for Malaysia. A DM-i plug-in hybrid has also been revealed, without a local launch confirmation.

Its RM100,000 positioning sits above the Seres 3 but below the Proton eMas 7 and Leapmotor B10. Buyers wanting more range should wait for a confirmed local long-range version rather than assume the European model is coming.
