We also managed to snap a picture of the bootlid open, so this should give you an idea of the width and height of the luggage area opening, as well as whether the boot lid hinges intrude much into the opening and the wheel wells, into the boot space.

      agree with you carnoisseur, this is just too much drama!

      other manufacturers just simply post some spyshots or teaser videos and then launch the car with minimal fuss!

      simply put, if you have an excellent product to offer, then you don’t need to use this kampung-style marketing!

    Kenepa proton tak set kan semua model ini guna engine sama> beza harga bergantung pada spec lain, kurangkan bil airbag ker, xde esc ke, pakai drum brake ke> engine kasi sama semua. Buat apa bg engine iafm lapuk tu lg bila dah ada engine yg power dan menjimatkan minyak> pastinya tak semua mampu yg 75ribu. KAlau yg middle tu ramailah nak beli tp bile engine bukan cfe> proton nak main2 lagi ker….

      Nanti kalau proton letak CFE dlm semua variant tapi takda safety, ada yg komplen tin milo lah, tin kosong. tin susu ah, semua jenis tin keluar.

    I like their approach to it. Since technically all Malaysians are shareholders of Proton (thanks to EPF), it’s almost like the company showing their shareholders their new product, why its viable, their strategies, etc. Like a briefing at a shareholder’s meet. It just so happens in this case that the shareholders are the customers as well.

    Adakah ini kultur atau gaya Proton, tunjuk keter potong-potong, macam nak berak baru gali lubang. Tak boleh ke tunjuk keter yang elok dan solid, macam buat tipu je, keter potong potong ni nak jual 4 ribu ye tapi takder keter yg elok dan solid nak tunjuk. But tipu tipu pandai. Seolah olah macam keter LEGO cantum sini cantum sana.

    • Lu ingat buat kereta macam beranak ke? keluar sebijik dah siap. Buat kereta memang le ada assembly macam lego. Lepas tu banyak commonisation untuk cost saving. Basic Platform sama, skin/styling dengan features je yg lain. Proton nak tunjuk overview prosess buat kereta (knowledge sharing), bagi org bodoh sombong macam ko nih dtg sana belajar sket. Nih duduk depan komputer cakap meraban.

    First impressions:

    Looks: Inspira + Persona, so what’s new?
    Engine: “Sounds” exciting to have a variable powered engine
    Quality: Questionable, shall review comments of users after 2 years of driving.

    Will I buy?: After 2 years of testing, might start to consider.
    Doubts: Variable power stuck at 2.0? Fuel consumption high by design (flaw)?

    I think consumers are still very reluctant to be proton’s lab-rats at their expense.
    A flashy new car won’t be effective until tested and proven.
