Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn Bhd has just announced a new variant for the Nissan NV200 called the Nissan NV200 Semi Panel Van, which joints its NV200 Panel Van sibling.
The exterior size is about the same, but the Nissan NV200 Semi Panel Van trades some cargo area for a second row of seats just behind the front seats, which can fit up to 3 passengers, turning the NV200 into a 5-seater instead of just a 2-seater. Entry to the rear passenger area is via sliding doors that have fixed glass windows on both sides of the vehicle.
The cargo area now has a volume of 2.33 cubic metros and is accessible through the rear top hinged door. The floor height of the cargo area is 520mm off the ground. There’s all full headlining throughout the interior.
The Nissan NV200 Semi Panel Van is powered by a 1.6 litre HR16DE engine with CVTC valve timing, producing 109 PS and 152Nm of torque, mated to a 5-speed manual. The van also has an electric power steering system. Safety features include ABS, EBD, and a single driver airbag.
The Nissan NV200 Semi Panel Van is priced at RM70,900.00 for Peninsular Malaysia and comes with a 3 year or 100,000km warranty. I wonder if ETCM will consider launching a window van (three rows of passenger seats) as well, since now they have a panel and semi panel version. The window van version is called the Nissan Evalia in Indonesia, and is marketed as a competitor to products like the Toyota Avanza or the Daihatsu Luxio. A taxi version of the NV200 with a 2.0 litre engine was picked as the new official taxi of New York City.
Looking to sell your car? Sell it with Carro.
even panel van get cvtc engine. but xgear n livina 1.6 no cvtc.
At first I thought all of them using the same HR16DE should have CVTC. Now I know not all HR16DE has CVTC.
even commercial vehicle gets 6 speed manual…when affordable passenger car gonna bring 6 speed manual?…(proton and perodua)
Not just that, to get a manual tranny in a decent family car is hard enough….
stupid blind retarded troll..making me looking everywhere for that one “extra” forward gear..
Is Toyota any better? Also no ESP at any price for locally assembled model.
No Full Windows Spec ar? Can use for family daily usage..
Wait for another 5 months! They shud remove that outdated Serena now. Bring in New Serena to compete with recond Toy Alphard
first, it was all panel van.
then, semi panel van… i think the window van is getting even closer to malaysia.
Yeah.. 2 more windows to go!
will they bring the window van into malaysian market?
proton got CVT – 6 speed and 7 speed already….leave proton on its own la..u better bash pro2..
lol..they’r asking for 6 speed manual..real 6 speed ratio..not cvt virtual 6/7 speed. pls get ur facts right.
Bro…it’s 6 SPEED MANUAL…WITH CLUTCH PEDAL…..
Kit it up for the 7 seater version and Malaysia’s will have a more choice on a budget 7-seater!
Oh wait, they have Grand Livina already. This looks nice though..
definitely going to be more expensive than 1.6 livina..because cvtc and 6 speed tranny.
can we have it like the american taxi?
bring in the 7 seater version!
This could be a good option for taxi or even family hauler
Is this made in Japan?
Of coz laa. Nissan is Japan laa. Not from Germany
of course…japan brand..but made in thailand or indonesia perhaps..
Very Good Vehicle.
Good FC. 14km/L under japan 10-15mode for 1.6L.
Give a 1.6L and make it Livina Replacement model at RM78k, 2.0L Luxury model at RM88k! Get all the sales from Toyota Innova already…
I wish Malaysian taxi use this as a replacement for our Proton taxi. Proton taxi are quite uncomfy to seat plus it’s tight and low. Perhaps maybe all malaysian taxi should be replace with anything MPV such as Avanza or Exora or This Nissan.
Not worth with the cost for single passenger. For Klg Valley I prefer they use Perodua Viva for single passenger taxi.
This model should be a replacement for our aging Nissan Serena..
This van looks futuristic in its design. Put in a pair of sports rim, paint the black bumper to body color and put some fancy decals on the third panel and it can pass off as a leisure vehicle for the whole family with lots of luggage space! Great for business and leisure.
i want this van. put big wheel and bodykit enough to make it close up to elgrand laready.
Fact:
The cheapest Nissan car in Malaysia that offers stability control is 2.5 Teana at RM173k.

Bring on the window van. I’ll customised my own personal taxi of tomorrow.
Great idea, this could be a good basis for a city ‘Teksi’
how likely is Nissan gonna come up with window type van? any clue or hints from Tan Chong?
No wonder all these while can’t see many of these like they use to. Instead of targeting only the commercial market, they should target for dual usage. Produce window van like they used to. For goodness sake, color coordinate the bumpers (black bumpers look so seventy’s!)Pasar malam traders will surely love them. A more spacious alternative to the Avanza. Great for MPV taxis to replace those aging Renaults. Can even have a semi-luxurious version. Poor S&M at Tan Chong!
