McLaren Kuala Lumpur to open in September

McLaren Automotive is set to enter the Malaysian scene in September, and the brand will be represented here through Sime Darby Motors. The McLaren Kuala Lumpur sales gallery will be located in Mutiara Damansara, and will be supported by a state-of-the-art, two-bay service centre in Temasya Industrial Park, Glenmarie.

McLaren Kuala Lumpur is Sime Darby Motors’ third partnership with the British company after McLaren Hong Kong and McLaren Shanghai. Malaysia is the manufacturer’s seventh market in the Asia-Pacific region, and the local concern – operated by Sime Darby Auto Britannia – will be the brand’s 41st retail location globally. Guess we’ll be seeing a lot more MP4-12Cs on the road in the future, then.

    Not that we malaysians can ever afford one even without the excise duties. 1m usd per pop = 3m rm. add 300% tax, do the math.

      I presume you are talking about the P1, i doubt that might even reach our shores.

      MP4-12C should cost RM1.9 mil before any add ons and insurance

    sime darby will probably remove the airbags and change the logo to inokom and put sime tyres on the car and still price it as per normal price.

    Malaysian buyers are sucker anyway especially from sime management pov.
