Naza Kia Malaysia recently launched its latest Red Cube outlet in Johor Bahru. The 38,241 sq.ft Kia Red Cube Johor Bahru 4S centre has 18 service bays that can accomodate 45 cars per day.
The company invested RM10 million into this 4S outlet to include sales, service and spare parts with body and paint facilities, meeting rooms, training rooms, a kids area, café, free WIFI and internet stations. There’s also a new chrome logo on the building’s exterior, first in the world and part of Kia’s new Global Space Identity. Next up are new facilities in Rawang and Kuantan.
The JB Red Cube will house Kia’s latest model, the Cerato. The recently launched Forte-replacement sedan is expected to contribute significantly to Naza Kia’s sales volume this year with a monthly sales target of 600 units. Any promotion on-going for Kia Red Cube, especially for Sportage?
Just don’t try so hard Naza..people already not interested after the badly priced Cerato.
Wow… All the money from successful forte sales?
Let see whether the Cerato sales will keep them on their track or not…
this probably one off the reasons y the cerato is priced that way..
Use to be KIA supporter but after bad experience with KIA service I totally change my thinking. As long as the KIA still under NAZA, don’t going for KIA.
Just because of one incident with KIA service, you are saying “dont going for KIA”…..pls, learn to write english in the correct way.
I have a bad experience for Toyota service also, so do I have to say “dont going for Toyota”.
Sometimes, you dont have to be very fussy, customer or salesman like you (empty vessel) always have something to complain about.
I am sure you are a 1985 Proton Saga owner.
My place in kuching is difference got 3 service center, the best 1 is yu lee hong at jalan mendu, fast service, friendly entertain and experience in services of korean vehicle..
Won’t it be too optimistic for naza to set 600 target monthly sale?
I think no matter how Naza trying to do or improve themselves, there are still tons of negative comment toward Naza. If this 4S centre is opened by Honda, Toyota or Nissan, they will be tons of positive comment.
Honest speaking, is Cerato really selling at sky-high price? Can anyone of you tell me WHICH BRAND able to sell the car with such spec around 100k, Honda, Toyota?
For some of you say Kia SC lousy, please go and check out the Kia SC yourself. In fact their standard is still below Honda, Toyota but Kia SC much better than Proton, Perodua, Sime Hyundai, Ford etc.
I admit Cerato price is bit high if “compare to Forte”. But it is value of money compare to Civic, Altis, Syplhy etc. Putting Cerato spec into Civic, do you think Civic 2.0 will sell below 150k?
some of you already set our mind Kia should forever labelled as “cheap” brand.
agreed, not to mention the 1.6cc, basic feats city and vios is priced at 94k/93k respectively, and ppl are complaining Cerato with civic size and loads feats r expensive…i cant brain it..
i thought city/vios only 1.5cc? no?
autodriver totally agree for ur comment :)
The Cerato isn’t badly priced, it is just not as value for money as the Forte. After the success of the Forte Naza definitely wants to pump up the price of its replacement. Nothing unusual about this. Think Perodua’s Viva after the success of their Myvi.
Comparing spec for spec the Cerato is still better value for money compared to a Jap equivalent with almost bare specs. It’s just that many consumers still cannot accept that a Korean car should be priced at the same level as a Jap car. But this is the reason why you are getting a lot more goodies for the Korean car.
Resale value is not a big factor if you intend to keep the car for long term. RV will improve as sentiment towards K cars improve. This isn’t so for high maintenance conti cars which will always have low RV.
In terms of maintenance, fuel consumption and reliability K cars aren’t any worse than the typical J car. I’m speaking from experience as the owner of a 2005 Optima and a Toyota Avanza. Parts are slightly more expensive than OEM parts for J cars but I’ve never had to wait for any spare parts, not even “accident parts” like side moulding.
As for Naza SC, there are good ones and bad ones just like with ALL makes. No surprises here as it depends on the people staffing them. In fact I started servicing my Avanza outside way before the warranty was over as I couldn’t bear to wait 3 hrs for an oil change. There are also lots of 3rd party K car specialists you can use once your warranty is over.
Would I buy another K car? The answer is yes. They are good value for money for now but it won’t last forever. Do you pay less for a Samsung LCD TV compared to a Sony now?
