MMC-Gamuda has announced a temporary closure of the Cheras-Kajang Highway at KM13.2 to KM14.2 (Kajang-bound) and KM15.4 to KM14.2 (Kuala Lumpur-bound) from 11pm on June 3, 2016, to 5am on June 4, 2016. The six-hour closure is to facilitate the installation of the Sri Raya MRT Station pedestrian link bridge.
During the closure, motorists who are headed towards Kajang from KL will be diverted out the Exit 703 (Telekom interchange) slip road before proceeding to rejoin the Cheras-Kajang Highway by going across Jalan Hulu Langat. This is represented by the purple arrow in the map above.
Meanwhile, motorists from Kajang heading to the federal capital will also be diverted out Exit 703, and will rejoin the highway after going across Jalan Hulu Langat. Referring to the map above, the alternative route is indicated by the green arrow.
Motorists from Taman Kota Cheras heading to Kajang and Kuala Lumpur will not be diverted. This includes motorists from Kuala Lumpur heading to Taman Kota Cheras.
