The Mercedes-Benz Gelandewagen is now available yet another batch of luxurious special editions, this time as the G 63 and G 65 Exclusive Edition as well as the G 350 d and G 500 Designo Manufaktur edition. These come after the G650 Landaulet in the spruced-up G-Wagen stakes, which was unveiled at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show.

The new Exclusive Edition duo gain aesthetic changes for the both the G 63 and G 65, including stainless steel underguards, AMG sport strips, dark aluminium-look rub strip inserts, and a body colour-painted spare wheel cover.

The Exclusive Edition models also gain 21-inch AMG light-alloy wheels shod in 295/40R21 tyres, with matt black paint and high-sheen spokes on the wheels for the G 63 and ceramically-polished light-alloy wheels for the G 65. Exclusive to the Exclusive Edition is the AMG Monza Grey magno matte finish paint.

Naturally, the interior of these special edition models get a do-up, too. The designo Exclusive package includes a two-tone, leather-lined dashboard and AMG sports seats as standard, as is two-tone leather upholstery. The two-tone designo Nappa leather is available in six colours, or in three colours if specified with side bolsters in black carbon leather.

In both the above seat trim options, the seat and door centre panels feature a diamond pattern. A Seat Comfort package can be specified, with climate-controlled, multi-contour seats for the driver and front passenger.

Other options also available are designo seat belts in red, leather-clad grab handles and a two-tone AMG Performance steering wheel to match the seat colours.

The Mercedes-AMG G 63 and G 65 Exclusive Edition variants will go on sale in Germany priced at €163,125 (RM769,648) and €287,658 (RM1,357,214) respectively.

Unveiled alongside the special edition AMGs are the G 350 d and G 500 in Designo Manufaktur guise, which pair each of the three available exterior paint finishes – Designo Magma Red, Designo Mystic White and Obsidian Black – with select exterior features in black, including the AMG light-alloy wheels and the side rub strip inserts.

The radiator grille louvre, exterior mirrors and spare wheel cover are also finished in Obsidian Black. Standard equipment on the Designo Manufaktur Edition models also include the Exclusive package, which includes the Seat Comfort package including multi-contour, climate-controlled front seats, leather-lined dashboard, illuminated door sills and a Designo roof liner in black Dinamica microfibre.

The Sport package includes the Exterior Stainless Steel package, comprising running boards on both sides, black velour floor mats and for the G 500, sports exhausts. There is also the Chrome package which features chrome surrounds on the seat adjustment control and loudspeakers in the front doors, with Mercedes-Benz lettering for the luggage compartment sill.

In Germany, the G 350 d Designo Manufaktur Edition is priced at €109,878 (RM518,379) while the G 500 Designo Manufaktur Edition is pegged at €121,683 (RM574,030).

    Proton should come up with a SUV that looks like this and price it below RM50k

      Just 2 add salt into injury, The Leather of the G63 itself cost at least 5,000 ringgit. Add the transmission & it will exceed RM 50k. If they sell each unit, P1 will loose another 300k for each car they sell.

      He he he. I like your sarcasm bro. Since P1 already loosing 20k per car last year when they sold 72,000 cars, might as well benefits the Rakyat with a SUV G Series. Cheers
