The North American Car, Utility and Truck of the Year Awards (NACTOY) has announced the official list of semi-finalists for the latest edition of the contest, with the overall winners set to be revealed at the 2019 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS).
For the 2019 NACTOY, the Car category will include 14 semifinalists, which is two more than the usual as a result of a tie in the voting. Models from European makes that made it to the list include the Audi A6, Mercedes-Benz A-Class, Volkswagen Jetta and the Volvo S60.
However, it is the brands from Korea and Japan that dominate the list, accounting for the remaining nine semifinalists in the category. The models include the Genesis G70, Hyundai Veloster, Kia Forte, Honda Insight, Mazda 6, Nissan Altima, Nissan Leaf, Toyota Avalon/Avalon Hybrid and Toyota Corolla Hatchback. The only car from an American brand is the Buick Regal Tour X.
Moving on, we arrive at the hotly-contested Utility category, where plenty of strong contenders will battle it out for the top prize. They include the BMW X5, Hyundai Santa Fe, Hyundai Kona, Jaguar I-Pace, Jeep Wrangler, Nissan Kicks, Subaru Ascent, Toyota RAV4, Volvo XC40, Acura RDX, Cadillac XT4 and Infiniti QX50.
Last but not least, there’s the Truck category which only consists of three candidates so all of them will make it through to the next round without any need for juror voting. The confirmed semi-finalists are the Chevrolet Silverado 1500, GMC Sierra 1500 and Ram 1500.
The next stage of the contest will see the jurors gather in Ypsilanti, Michigan from October 16 -18 for a comparison drive event. After a second round of voting is completed, finalists in each category will be announced at this year’s Los Angeles Auto Show, and the winners in Detroit next year.

You dont really understand what am I writing on the comment. What Mario said on his comment that he is right. You got to really need to understand why Mario has too much of stress and why Mario is very sick after Mario service his Civic Turbo at many different locations of Honda service center.
First of all, many Honda owners are complaining about their Honda models because many Honda Service quality is very terrible as many Honda owners feel that it is wasting their money and their time which they service their Honda models at many different locations of Honda Service Center. Moreover, after they servicing at many different locations of Honda Service Center, they have too much of stress too and they had too much of headache after they service their Honda models at different locations of Honda Service Center which Honda service people didnt bother to service their Honda models and Honda service people didnt service their Honda models properly.
Second of all, why Honda assembly quality is very terrible, because Honda assembly people use all the fake parts to install for Honda models.
I am Ex-Honda Owner and I just sell of my Crv after I just bought several months. After I just bought my CRV for several months, it started gave me all the huge problems. Also, after I went to many Honda service center, it is still having same problems which makes me very stressful. It is wasting my money and my time. I already called up with Honda HQ Malaysia which Honda HQ Malaysia promise me to be solved. It seems that their Honda HQ Malaysia never change their attitude at all which Honda HQ Malaysia didnt even bother to solve the problem at all. So to all the readers pls dont ever buy Honda models. If you buy Honda models, you are going to have many troubles and you will have to face lots of problems.
