2019 Indian FTR 1200 S Race Replica now comes with Akrapovic exhaust and limited edition paint

Following the successful launch of the Indian Motorcycle FTR 1200 flat tracker last year, a special edition 2019 Indian FTR 1200 Race Replica has been launched. This special edition comes with with race replica paint, limited to the first year’s production of the FTR 1200 S and comes standard with a slip-on Akrapovic exhaust.

Retailing in the US with pricing beginning at USD 15,499 (RM63,064), the FTR 1200 S’ Akrapovic exhaust is made from titanium and stainless steel and a heat shield made from matte black carbon-fibre. Indian Motorcycle claims the exhaust “enhances the impressive flat track styling of the FTR 1200 S Race Replica delivering a soundtrack to match.”

The FTR 1200 S produces 120 hp and 115.2 Nm of torque from its liquid-cooled, DOHC, eight-valve V-Twin which is fed by a 60 mm throttle body and closed loop fuel injecton. Six speeds get power from the engine to the ground via a gear drive wet clutch and chain final drive.

Braking is done with a pair of 320 mm diameter discs in front clamped by four-piston callipers while the rear wheel uses a single 265 mm disc with two-piston calliper. Fully-adjustable telescopic forks hold up the front end, while the back end is propped up with fully-adjustable IFP shock absorbers.

Fuel for the FTR 1200 S is carried in a 12.9-litre tank and seat height is 840 mm from the ground. Besides the Race Replica paintwork, there are two other colour options for the 2019 Indian FTR 1200 S – Red over Steel Grey and Titanium Metallic of Thunder Black Pearl.
