Perodua has officially introduced a range of new GearUp accessories for the Aruz SUV. From today onwards, existing and new owners of the seven-seat SUV will be able to specify these items individually.
The new accessories comprise of a new front skirt with red accents (RM700), rear skirt with red accents (RM700), retractable cargo blind (tonneau cover; RM250), seat covers with red stitching (RM950), and centre armrest with storage (RM180). Also included in the prices is a six-month warranty. The five new items join the existing range of GearUp accessories, all of which are listed below.
To recap, the Aruz is powered by a 2NR-VE four-cylinder petrol engine that makes 103 hp and 133 Nm of torque. It’s married to a four-speed automatic transmission that drives the rear wheels. Notable features include keyless entry and start, integrated SmartTAG, six airbags, ABS with EBD and brake assist, VSC, hill start assist, hill descent control and Isofix child seat anchors on outer second-row seats.
There’s also Perodua’s Advanced Safety Assist (ASA) 2.0 suite, which includes Pre-collision Warning, Pre-collision Braking, Front Departure Alert and Pedal Misoperation Control. Watch our in-depth review of the Toyota Rush-based SUV, below.
Looking to sell your car? Sell it with Carro.
Demand start dipping in ?? More aesthetic offerings to lure ppl n increase sales ka??
Tahniah!!
The Game Changer got even more handsome with Gear Up! Don’t already how X70’s Game is. Most likely to be Game Over
Correction : “Don’t know already how X70’s Game is.”
Proton X70 is China made. People rather buy a Japanese Toyota made Proton Aruz
I have been around the entire Japan including Okinawa and I have never seen a single Aruz or the Rush that it came from. Are you telling us a lie here?
Correct. Boyue also rejected by 95% of the world. It can only sell well in China
I rather prefer a car that is rejected by 95% of the world and only can sell in China, instead of a car that is rejected by 99% of the world that can’t even sell in China.
Sales teruk ka bro sejak ada X70?
If you have nothing good to say. Say nothing at all.
Fuuyooh, this is first time I see arm rest is an add-on accessories.
Should have been included by default. Greedy.
Looks well less than desirable…
Pitiful. So soon to add bodykit just to maintain sales momentum against the onslaught of Proton X70’s humongous booking volume.
Matt, do Aruz got space to store luggage cover when not used?
Sure can. If you consider a handbag as luggage.
The Aruz is generally good enough thus far. Nonetheless, will Perodua/ Toyota push out a higher-level version with (i) more than 4 gears, and (ii) say, a 1.8-liter engine?
Better they add side-step…instead of these useless side-skirts..For those vertically challenge passengers and older ppl. On another note..the armrest should have been made default on the Aruz & not an add-on item..Perodua is just too bluddy greedy.
Agreed.. saw few makcik with kurung having problem climbing into the car.. same goes to those wearing sari… car too high for ladies wearing traditionalor skirts..
Yuck that tonneau cover is horrendous. The beam attachment bracket looks like it can fall off from the side panel anytime and the canvas lip not properly glued to its backing board showing bubbles everywhere as if perodua staff had just made them at the last minute before the event started. Better don’t display this at all and save them from losing on perceived quality. The tonneau is not a Gear Up but actually a Gear Down accessory.
most rubbish tonneau cover ever seen. not practical to use, use strap??? 2 side hook in how many hands a HUMAN have? and double sided tape for the retracting beam holder? seriously all this for RM250?? seriously???
Perodua GearUp accessories are pure rubbish lah!…simply take ideas (maybe rejected ones) from vendors catalogue then sumbat kat their models…I wanted to like this car so much but I simply cant lah..if you compare it with Honda BR-V, maybe it will stand out a bit la…design wise..If with X70, just for the sake of comparing (not it the same category), the latter seems very premium looking, very european..n x perlu accessories pon…Ni x sampai few months dah sibuk apply bodykit….or maybe GearUp bodykits are launched with every new model…who cares right?…surprisingly they forgot their signature chrome garnish this time…
The best 7 seater suv in bolehland
Taking sharp & bumpy corner fail liaoo..
cost RM4.7k for accessories,
well should just direct include all as default.
I’m awaiting for the car delivery for more than a month. I spend the time searching for the arm rest but found so many accessories need to add in. The gear-up accessories available are much more attractive and competitive in pricing.
I’ve no comment on the car yet as I haven’t drive it but I believe there will be no big issue on it.
