DBKL announces new two-way traffic flow for Jalan Dang Wangi – Jalan Ampang area near AIA building

DBKL has announced that the Jalan Dang Wangi – Jalan Ampang area in the city will have two-way traffic flow from March 17, starting from midnight today. Currently, that stretch near the AIA building and Bukit Nanas “waterfall” is one-way.

This means that traffic from Jalan Ampang can now head to Jalan Sultan Ismail as well as the Dang Wangi police station in a more direct way.

City Hall says that this change – which is based on research – is to improve traffic flow and reduce the risk of accidents. Motorists are reminded to follow the road signage and drive safe. See the map above if you’re unclear on how this two-way stretch works, or where exactly it is.

No lah. They just do it to create project. Repaint the road, signages all involved taxpayers’ money right? So let’s siphoned it. Next 5 years, after study revert back. Another project then.

Nonsense. Is your salary same as 5 years ago? No right? Then why expect traffic flow pattern to be the same forever?

Hello, ever heard that traffic pattern changes all the time? Why did Selangor Govt changed Jalan Barat into 1 way flow? Syiok sendiri did not study properly kah?
Now thanks to many WFH arrangements, traffic flow in the new norm have changed a lot since preCovid so DBKL should be studying and changing traffic patterns to ease any bottlenecks. That is DBKL doing their jobs, and no this has nothing to do with project, if 5 years later traffic pattern changes, they too need to change as well.

  • Back to how it was before 25-30 years ago, so was the one way a failure after all this years?

  • Please change to one way on Mar 23, 2022 at 2:39 pm

Dear Officers, please change back to one way as the Traffic Jam terribly bad after the changes had made few days ago. Imagine when the school opens back, the traffic jam may turns to worse.
