Chery Malaysia has a host of promotions for the end of the year, offering savings that range from RM4,000 to RM15,000 across its model range.

The Omoda 5 SUV is being offered with savings of RM13,000, from its list price of RM108,800 for the C variant and RM118,800 for the H variant. Launched in July last year, the Omoda 5 gets a 1.5 litre turbocharged inline-four cylinder petrol engine that makes 156 hp and 230 Nm, driving the front wheels via a CVT.

Both variants gets the full ADAS suite comprised of lane departure warning and prevention, blind spot detection, emergency lane keeping, rear cross traffic alert, adaptive cruise control with low speed follow, front collision warning and AEB, and auto high beam, plus hill start assist, hill descent control and tyre pressure monitoring.

The battery-electric Omoda E5 SUV is offered with RM11,000 in savings, from its list price of RM146,800. Initially arriving as a fully imported model from China, the Omoda E5 is now locally assembled in Kulim, Kedah.

Motive power for the Omoda E5 is a single 204 PS/340 Nm motor driving the front wheels, enabling 0-100 km/h in 7.2 seconds. A 61 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery brings 430 km of range (WLTP), at a claimed power consumption rate of 15.5 kWh per 100 km. DC charging at up to 80 kW enables a 30-80% charge in 28 minutes, and it also packs a V2L function for up to 3.3 kW of power supply.

The Chery model with the biggest saving on offer is the Tiggo 8 Pro, now offered with RM15,000 in rewards from its list price of RM159,800. This comes after an earlier promotion for the model in September, when the three-row SUV was offered with a RM8,000 discount.

The Tiggo 8 Pro gets a 2.0 litre turbocharged petrol engine that outputs 256 hp and 390 Nm, driving the front wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. Inside, the Tiggo 8 Pro gets a pair of 12.3-inch screens, open-pore wood trim, multi-colour ambient lighting, electric front seats with ventilation/heating, electronic panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charger and more, including a suite of ADAS functions.

Completing the quartet of models in this promotion is the Tiggo 7 Pro, at RM4,000 in savings from its launch price of RM119,800. The Tiggo 7 Pro is powered by a 1.6 litre turbocharged petrol engine with 197 hp and 290 Nm, driving the front wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic.

The Tiggo 7 Pro also gets the dashboard styling of the larger Tiggo 8 Pro with its pair of 12.3-inch displays, wireless device charger, 64-colour ambient lighting and panoramic glass roof. In terms of ADAS, this gets AEB, adaptive cruise control with stop and go, lane centring assist, rear collision alert, blind spot monitoring with collision prevention, rear cross traffic alert with auto brake and auto high beam.
