Overview

The Audi A5 Sportback is a compact executive hatchback with a coupe-style roofline, five seats and quattro all-wheel drive. In Malaysia, the F5 facelift range is simple: one S Line 2.0 TFSI quattro variant priced from RM440,990. It suits buyers who want an Audi with a lower, more style-led body than a sedan.

The current Audi A5 Sportback carries on into 2026 unchanged. The latest major Malaysian update came with the facelifted mild-hybrid range, followed by the S line-equipped 2.0 TFSI quattro. The local line-up is now down to a single 1,984 cc petrol-hybrid/REV variant with 249 hp, quattro and a wet dual-clutch automatic. It still has no AEB.

The A5 Sportback remains the style-led Audi in this size class, with a hatchback tailgate rather than a conventional sedan boot. The current single-variant range keeps things easy, but the price is far above the RM350,900 to RM377,900 level seen when the facelift first arrived in Malaysia. The lack of AEB is a clear miss at this money. Buy it for the body style and quattro drivetrain, not for a long list of choices.
