The first-generation Neta Neta V is a B-segment electric hatchback launched in Malaysia in 2023. It suits buyers who want a five-seat EV with a claimed 380 km range rather than a larger SUV. There is one Deluxe variant, priced from RM100,000, with a 38.54 kWh battery and 94 hp electric motor.

There is no 2026-specific update for the Malaysian Neta Neta V, so it carries into 2026 unchanged. The range remains a single Deluxe hatchback with a 38.54 kWh battery, 94 hp motor, single-ratio automatic transmission, five seats and a claimed 380 km range. The heavily revised Neta V-II announced in 2024 is a separate model, with Apple CarPlay and AEB mentioned for that version.

The Neta Neta V brings a claimed 380 km range to a compact five-seat hatchback, but its position is harder to justify now. It costs RM40,200 more than the Proton eMas 5 and RM32,200 more than the Wuling Bingo, while sitting only RM700 below the Dongfeng Box and RM888 below the MG 4. More seriously, it scores zero stars in ASEAN NCAP under the current protocol. That is a major safety concern.
