2,950kg Monster Bike

monster-bike-1.jpg

This monster is the creation of Greg Dunham in California, and it is in the Guinness Book of World Records holding the record for the world’s tallest bike standing at 11 feet, 3 inches tall. Costing US$300,000 to build, the monster bike is powered by an 8.2 litre, 500 horsepower engine mated to a 2-speed transmission. It actually moves, but from the looks of the thing, I have no idea how you’re supposed to steer it.

More photos after the jump.

The speed and steering control is in the front of that man siiting. It is internally connected to the giant handle bar thru the big petrol tank (of course, I think it is just a cover)

Doesn't look THAT fun to ride, but well it is huge, gives the word monster a totally new dimension, the monster truck parked behind the bike doesn't so monster anymore, and hell, it's even taller than a truck! Would be great for those street parades.

That's not even close to a bike. Six wheels, unsteerable & and this one can't do a wheely.

it's for the record books, of course it's nonsense la. I can't find any reason to why we should make the longest malaysian flag to be displayed at the Great Wall of China. Patroitic? hahaha… perhaps Greg Dunham was doing something patroitic for California also…

That gives me an idea; maybe we should try making the longest traffic jam in Malaysia just to show we can, Malaysia Boleh!
