Abt Sportsline tunes up the Audi S3

Abt Sportsline has tuned up the Audi S3 both in terms of looks as well as under the hood. The car also rides on a specially tuned Abt suspension. On the outside you have a subtle Abt bodykit as well as 19″ Abt AR 5-spoke alloy wheels, but what will send your heart racing is what’s under the hood.

The 2.0 litre TFSI engine has had it’s boost upped resulting in a 45 horsepower and 70Nm increase – it now makes a total of 310 horsepower and 350Nm of torque, which reduces 0-100km/h acceleration time down to 5.4 seconds. You get to hear all 310 horses through a special Abt sports exhaust system.

One more rear shot of the car after the jump.

I understand a local msian dealer for ABt have already imported such performance kit already in to msia for the A3.

If only proton managed to facelift their waja like this Audi, it will surely outclass its Persona brother.

    mystvearn,

You wont get torque steer a AWD (well unless you have over 500ft lbs of torque…then maybe).

Somehow the 0-100 sprint is a little slower than the specs would lead you to believe. For a close comparison, my old slightly modified DSM with 300hp, breaks the century mark at just under 5 seconds. Weighs the same, and has AWD.

Perhaps the Haldex AWD in the S3 (unlike the Torsen system in its bigger brothers) is the limitation (perhaps FWD biased like AWD Volvos).

then good luck controlling stop-start take offs. That is still a lot of power

Well, that maybe because the tranny system of DSM is direct and lean towards more mechanical. While the audi’s AWD system is electronic limited, in other words, start from 3000rpm and 6000 rpm, same effect!
