Renault Sandero Stepway: budget “crossover”

Renault has given the Renault/Dacia Sandero an offroader styling treatment and the result is this – the Renault Sandero Stepway. Its essentially the same vehicle as the Sandero but with a higher ground clearance and a different take on styling which gives the hatchback and off-roader look. Think of this as a budget Volkswagen CrossPolo.

Under the hood is the 112 horsepower 1.6 liter Hi-Flex engine that supports bio-ethanol as fuel, one of Renault’s popular bio-ethanol engines in Brazil.

One more rear shot after the jump.

yeah, it does remind me of the rush and nautica.

but can redesign the grille? make it abit more agressive?

wow… this’s way better than nautica. i kinda like it but doubt it would be offered in malaysia. bio-ethanol, hmmm, thailand would be a perfect market as they have already lowered the tariffs on imported bio-ethanol vehicles.

this engine is well-known by his economy and agility, the 1.6 16V is the same from Renault Clio 2 in Brazil and Europe, although the Clio has 115hp by ethanol.
Probably here, in Brazil, this car will sell a lot and people waiting until 60 days to have it….and for sure, better thar Cross-Fox
Its a false SUV, but is sells like hot pancakes…

but would you people actually buy a renault though when it actually comes to putting your money down?

although true that they make some pretty decent cars, but in the malaysian market, they’re hardly selling anything at all.

i agree with BanyakMasukWorkshop. many say they will buy this if there is this or that included in the car, i don’t think people will actually come up with money to put down if there is such a model.

it is a pretty good looking car afterall though… and please, it looks nothing like the nautica or rush.
