After a long absence in the Malaysian market, Jeep has once again landed in Malaysia with its first 3S centre located in the ever-expanding automotive hub in Glenmarie, Shah Alam. Opting for a full-on assault on the local market, Jeep Malaysia has launched a total of four models – eight variants in total – in one go.
Naturally, the trademark Jeep Wrangler is to be found. Accompanying the Wrangler’s foray into the local market are the Jeep Cherokee, Jeep Grand Cherokee and Jeep Compass. With an array of models on sale, Jeep Malaysia has invested quite a fair bit on making sure that its after sales service are as robust as its cars. Three bookings have been received prior to launch.
The Jeep 3S – sales, after-sales and spare parts – centre is located along Jalan Pelukis in Glenmarie and is established as a ‘single roof’ facility to cater to the needs of the Jeep customers. Open seven days a week, it boasts a total of eight service bays along with a customer lounge equipped with WiFi connectivity.
Fans of Jeep up north and down south need not worry, either. In 2015, Jeep Malaysia plans to expand on its network of dealers and service centres to include one more in the Klang Valley, Johor and Penang. Building on their aggressive expansion, two more dealers are in the pipeline for Sabah and Sarawak.
During the press conference, it was also announced that the Jeep Renegade could make its local debut as soon as late-2015 or early-2016.
To further sweeten the ownership experience for potential clients, Jeep Malaysia is also introducing a special 2+2+2 package for anyone who puts an order down before December 2014. Benefits include free road tax and insurance for two years and a special 2.0% interest rate on the entire range.

As usual, inflated price for all Jeep range.. Sigh! My dream of owning a new Jeep Wrangler is dashed given the astronomical price. But I’m not surprised given the price of recond Wrangler 2012 is hovering around 230k
Can’t imagine the situation once the subsidy for petrol/diesel end next week

In 2015.
Should be around Q3 or Q4 ;)
welcome back and hope can see or snap you OTR
The pricing tells me they r not really serious about it yet… Feels like they are doing some brand awareness here in msia till thy can ckd the ting for be build in Thailand /Indonesia or some ASEAN country to be offered in competitive prices… Otherwise… Its jus another brand…
Even if they CKD the car prices would not drop by much these days.
U just compare the CBU and CKD prices of the new X5 and you would know.
Roughly about 10% difference max.
The prices seem like a bloody joke.
Who on earth would fork out Rm300k for a Jeep Wrangler??
Even the few who buys it would most likely be laughed at by his friends.
By the way, is EON trying to compete with BmWs X series range of SUV? Tough luck!!!
I guess the only thing that can save them in the Renegade. Other than that, only an enthusiast will fork up 300k for a jeep.
The building of JEEP is nicer than the car….
Will it come to Borneo? Because many people at there need this off road machine.
should have done more research on pricing … its hard to comprehend how poorly priced are their cars. even if we factor in import taxes and excise duties… still seems like a wet dream for jeep malaysia to succeed with there prices.
pre reg maybe??
