Perodua Myvi Photo Album
For those that have not been to showrooms to check out the Perodua Myvi yet, here are some photos which a friend of mine took when she went to the showroom. Her photography’s so so so so much better than mine. There are also shots of full grown adults in the car to get an idea of how spacious it is. Also available are photos of the back seats converted to a larger boot space for transporting… more stuff than usual? LOL!
The red one is the 1.3 and the silver one is the 1.0.

Awesome! But, I think the designing of its bonet should be more suspicious. I mean, for examples, when we want to buy fishes, meats, and vegetables its smells will entered the car. So poor, the good examples is Proton Saga Metallic version. So I hope we can improve our qualities together… Bye…

My only comment on the Myvi is the pedal placement. No left-foot rest for manual versions. And for some ‘big-foot’ like me, might take some time to get used to it. Overall, the car is great, still haven’t driven one though. Can’t wait to get my Mocha Silver.

my advice is not rush to get a Myvi. The car may look good but looks can be deceiving. Wait until it is common on the road, let all the problems be sorted out first (if there are any). Then buy it.

Emily : The showroom next to Giant Hypermarket seksyen 13, near the Stadium Shah Alam there also display a Green color model…the showroom is open space type so u can go see it anytime u want *LOL*

The fact is Perodua just did some cosmetic make up to the Daihatsu Sirion & i have to say that:”Bravo! Perodua because it turns out Myvi is cuter compare to Sirion which also very cute too. It is great when u can spend just 50K and own an latest japanense made car with local car manufacturer name( Daihatsu Sirion –>Perodua Myvi). finally, some good thing happened in our local car market.

aiyah.the dashboard not so dull la.when i went to glenmarie and feel it,not so bad as in photos.n easy to move from driver seat to side passenger seat..that`s what mini mpv need maa..side mirror quite big and more rear view can see..not like trm`s,cute but just enough for regulation(or not?)..

Overall design is great. Nice compact car with twincam engine + EFI.
But I think the “Mute”, “Mode”, “CD” & “AM/FM” buttons on the dashboard panel are not proper designed. The fonts are quite big n ugly.
Emm.. the color scheme for dashbord n steering also not matching with the interiors.
Anyway, congratulations Perodua!!! Remember.. Quality 1st not Quantity!!

In fact i have done a lot of research and analysis on the model and engine which related to Myvi few mths ago before i make the booking…..finally i search this web site which provide a lot of car informations and spyshort photos…..Thank a lot Paul, you are doing a very god job for everybody!!! I know i booked for a great value car already.

WOW, so many comments on MyVi! I wanted to book one too very soon, its just that I’m moving to new house, probably after that in 1-2 months time! I saw the Mocha Silver, its not like the one in Perodua Website, its looks like Proton’s Car color, Hmmmm.. maybe its just me.. :D. Anyways, is it true, if we book now, we can get it in 5-6 months time??

first time tengok myvi kat showroom, my comments
1. price tak match dengan interior material
2. not original perodua design, ciplak toyota passo, tak bangga apa-apa pun.
3. sport rim buruk, kecik
4. material dashboard, macam radio Sunny buatan China, gosok2 seminggu font kat dashboard tu confirm hilang, kedai RM2 punya dashboard ke ?
5. jentik body bahagian belakang, ketingggg bunyi dia… tin milo lagi bagus
6. pintu pun kosong jugak bunyinyer.. takder la duppp pun,kepammmpp ader la bunyinyer
7. side mirror dengan signal, teringat aku kat motor NITRO, memang senang rosak
8. logo depan cam power ranger dulu-dulu..
9. lampu depan compare to proton savvy or atos baru, myvi the worse..
tak yah orang Malaysia dok mengaku tu design Malaysia, terang terang amik dari Toyota, nama je perodua, padahal korang support jepun jugak.
Yerlah orang malaysia, semua minded imported punya barang… sendiri buat tak reti, reti komen aje. Barang orang dibangga-banggakan, barang sendiri diperlekehkan.

Hello En.Dodot,MyVi tak ciplak mana2 model pun.Perodua,Daihatsu dan Toyota sama-sama perah otak nak buat design kereta ni.Diorang tu dalam satu team.Perodua anak syarikat Daihatsu,Daihatsu anak syarikat Toyota.Sama la kes nya macam Ford dengan Mazda.Cuba kau teliti model keluaran Ford ngan Mazda,dua2 sama sebijik,cuma diorang ubah sikit2.Lain kali balik mengaji dulu baru posting kat sini.Sedap mulut je kata Perodua ciplak Passo la,bukan buatan Malaysia la,tak boleh nak dibanggakan la etc……

yes, i agree with dodot.
it is a bit dissapointing seeing Japanese car in Malaysian version.
Currently staying in Japan, whenever i see Mira (Kenari) or Daihatsu (kembara) .. they always look much better than the lower spec and lower quality malaysia version.

I heard need to wait for 6-7mths if booking now?? Ini memang banyak laku Myvi ni. Terlalu banyak supporter. I think less than 6mths, will get a lot of complaint……………..kerana banyak batch Myvi dah keluar dari kilang Perodua. Dengarlah betul-betul masa tu, bagus @ teruk kereta ni.

i recently had a glance at the latest Perodua Myvi, & i find it really good compare to the other model of Perodua…Those who r planning to get a new car should really get Perodua Myvi. The body contour is far better than Proton Savvy.

No point look for nice.. can u people notify that this car handling is bad and worst ?? u see so height setting the car.. i can garantee will flood like motor boat when in speed after 120KM/H unless modify big tayar and absorber….big car with small leg how to stable in corner ? but nice look just honest complaint dun fire me ah

Myvi Special Edition, Wide body, leather seats, turbo, semi auto, 1.5 - 1.6 engine 1.8 is an advantage. Body kits. Ada apa lagi nak tambah… rasanya nak kena tunggu lagi 5 tahun kot….

haha, u sound very critical… give some positive critism instead of bashing this car with lots of ‘pedas-pedas’ comments… only know to comment on the cosmetics of the car only (rim besar/kecik, lamps etc), but know nothing technically…

whether it is original design or copycat .. to me is very minor stuff. perodua has done their best for the people. why all the hassle ?? the most important thing is the engine capability and the comfort. the design is excellent ( much-3 better than savvy). when you closed the door of MYVi it doesn’t feel like a tin can unlike savvy ha ha ha .. sorry leh!
i am still waiting for my turn for a road test … very excited !!!

Exterior wise, cun ler!. But really dislike the back area. Besides the fat bumper, the half red and half white (transparent..wateva) tail lamps really look odd to me. Compare to passo/sirion….they look better.
Interior wise, the built-in radio is reaaaaalllllyyyyy UGLY!! Very inferior!! So Fake. The wheel also. The seats also. All look real cheap. The only best thing is, it is spacious.

I have been to Japan on many occassions over the past 25 years. I have seen the various cars they have. I have seen the many cars produced in Malaysia for the past 20 years. I can only say one thing, “The Perodua MyVi is the best Malaysia has produced.” when you look at the below par & inferior quality finish of the cars produced so far. You really have to say that MyVi is miles ahead of Proton Savvy. The Proton Savvy or even the previous Protons were just too far below standard with inferior door handles (even for the new Savvy now). Extremely hard dashboard and door panel interior finishing just like hard plastic. Perodua has produced ‘MyVi’ and improved the standard, which is miles ahead of Proton’s Gen2 or Savvy. Can’t Proton who also have a share of Perodua (if i am not wrong) produce car parts of equally high standard. Although MyVi has pleased my eyes, however, Perodua needs to improve on several other aspects which are very visible.
1. Reduce the price by RM5K each for each type 1.0 & 1.3 and this model will sweep the car sales not just in Malaysia alone but in AFTA countires as well.
2. The highest Spec 1.3 Auto should have leather seats.
3. The dashboard area & door panelling should have high class dark brown wooden panels instead of silver paint. The gear knob as well.
4. The tyres should be slightly larger.
5. I wonder if Perodua has improved on this one: Have a warning buzzer for times when you forget to switch off the front lights. My wife bought a new Perodua Kembara EZ 4 years ago and we have changed the car battery no less than 10 times. Very costly!!!!
We can’t ask for too much more after this once all these things have been put together with a price RM5k less.
Again Proton Savvy down the drain. It looks more like a toy with inferior quality material. The design is clearly copied from Alfa cars. The back tail lights and the boot door are clearly from aa Alfa. The side doors with the front door having a larger window than the back door, which is sitting on a higher plane definitely originated from an Alfa. What else is there to say. What have the Proton R & D been doing? I am sure Malaysians are more talented than this even when working with a very small budget.
Come on Malaysia, 20 years is a long time. Start producing & rolling out cars of top quality. At this rate you have no chance against the foreign giants who have everything, “Quality, Design & the Finances.” Frankly & Honestly speaking only MyVi can still stand a chance if they are RM5K less. No hard feelings. Just being honest. i believe, “MALAYSIA BOLEH”. Keep Pressing On but quickly.

i think both car has it own keistimewaan.Dont need to be too judging.Org boleh kata proton is the worst carmaker in the world,but your uncle,nenek makcik or whatever still drove the first national car proudly.Give proton more time.Dont compare them with Hyundai,Skoda and……Be reasonable.At least they are better than some Car-maker that only tukar badge + downgrade the specs.For proton.The government protection is not forever.Think fast or you all will end up in foreign hand.Mergers has a pro and kontra.Peace

to many comments on both cars…savvy and myvi…i agree that we need to learn from the bottom…as for the proton they have done the best…and as for perodua they have done a great job…for this copycat thing…we look at malaysian own design juara and savvy…compare with perodua cars…the proton sales is absolutely down..but as perodua they still maintain their sales…to compete in this market the design comes second but the quality comes first…ppl wont simply buy a cars looking on the design only but the quality is being measure too..nowadays ppl getting clever n smart not like ppl on those day…but as we are malaysian…buy our local stuff…there will be no proton and perodua if we malaysian aint buying their cars…

PROTON…. this is time for you to thing something to get morre profit…….kalau tak nak terus rugi…. baik ishtiharkan savvy sebagai kereta yg limited shj……edisi terhad……kendian……hentikan pengeluaran savvy terus……. keluar kan SRM cepat2…….Satria Replacement Model tu cepat2…… tengok kan dari bentuk SRM tu…….boleh la tahan…..tapi ada lg sedikit ciri2 nampak macam GEN-2…….tapi buat masa sekarang ni,,,hanya gambar yg mcm tu ja la dpt tengok…..spesifikasi dia tak tau lagi la……jangan pakai enjin renault 1.7 liter lagi dah la……pastu interior jgn pakai sistem audio mcm gen-2 dah la….bukan apa…..org malaysia ni kreatif….diaorang nak benda yg senang uttk di tukar……diaorang ni kreatif…..teguran ini bukan lah utk menjatuhkan PROTON tapi teguran utk menyelamatkan proton dari tutup terus….saya harap 10 tahun dari sekarang dapat la lagi nampak kewujudan proton di bumi MALAYSIA…..hehehehehe…..

gear satu 40 dua 70 tiga 110 empat 150 lima 190.bleh pegi lagi ke 200lebih tapi malas sayang engine beb baru 6000 kat jalan.heheheh anyway dah cecah 180 pun kira ok

To everyone in here, you guys better go against DODOT because his comments does nothing but throwing INSULTS to Perodua. One should thank Perodua for this new compact car, because it takes years to develop this car. Unfortunately, one comment from DODOT is enough to DESTROY the beauty of this car.
So please, NEVER give any comment that can spoil the beauty of the Perodua Myvi.

If you looked at Mohd Izamil Yusraime’s comment, everything he gave was correct- Perodua was part of Daihatsu, and that goes the same for Honda and Acura. If you look at the Acura RSX, you’ll find that the car was based on
the Honda Integra DC5, but that moron DODOT thinks that the Acura guys ‘ciplak’ the DC5 Integra. THE HELL HE WAS!
What Perodua is trying to do is to revive the cars that Daihatsu once launch, because Perodua have the RIGHT to reproduce these cars, since like what I’ve said before, Perodua was part of Daihatsu.
About that ‘takder identiti Malaysia’ DODOT potsed, it was nothing more than
SLANDER. I’m very sure that the Perodua president will get totally pissed off with that!

Hey DODOT, did your parents teach you to slander and insult people!?
You should take a look at Sadam’s comment. Like what he said, Perodua have the right to reproduce the once popular Daihatsu cars, so it’s best NOT to condemn these guys….. They worked hard to redesign the cars based on our country’s specs. Acura produced the RSX, and it uses the Honda Integra DC5 as the base for the model, but the American guys (Acura) removed the spoiler and redesigned the front a little. Not only that, they replaced the rims according to their specs. If you want to say Acura ‘ciplak’ the DC5 Integra, it’s best if you CUT THAT CRAP!!!
Now about those Myvi photos, I only know that Perodua have done something useful to produce this car. The 1.3 model looks better in black because it looks a little ugly in other colours.
And to Paul Tan, please help me find the articles about the Acura RSX and the Honda Integra DC5. Thanks.

Whaterver you GUYS comments bad or good about MYVI . Please check the latest bookings of MYVI…. 60 thousand….60…thousand that ’s the bad car ..cheap car.. no class car. Malaysian MYVi crave still go for the booking 6-7 months to get MYVi. Thank you for your negative comments yet MYVi stand tall among others. MYvi…MYVi….MYVi… the number 1….1…..1 forever.
