Hyundai will be exhibiting a 6-seater MPV concept at the 2008 Geneva Auto Show called the Hyundai HED-5 Concept, a joint project with Recaro, LG and Bayer. The HED-5 Concept is an attempt at making one of Hyundai’s most environmentally responsible vehicles so far, with a 29% reduction in CO2 emissions over an equivalent vehicle. Only concept drawings have been released at the moment, but we will see the concept vehicle in metal at the Geneva show pretty soon. Are we looking at a preview of the future of the Hyundai Matrix?
One more rear shot of the HED-5 Concept after the jump.
Looking to sell your car? Sell it with Carro.
Nice but too futuristic….macam keta ultraman
Another Korean junk I suppose.
yuckss…
the side windows looks totally ugly…
ngeeee…
Too early to comment…but the side silhoutte is nice… only too tilted…the actual car could be nice…
Paul,
Methinks you should be blogging from Geneva la for two weeks during GMS08.
the back does not look perfect laa…
No le i think the side is nice what, but not for the back, looks so strange the light…
Yup. The Koreans are very daring in their designs. But not so advance in terms of car tech etc. Maybe this car will be a hybrid utilising LG’s electronic know-how? Nevertheless, we see more such designs from the Koreans than our own p1 and p2 cars producers. Infact, you could hardly see one at all.
Whether it is another korean junk or not, at least it got out a concept, and some protoypes. Here? No where near. Even cloning is a big feat for us, sigh.
Hope it comes with a rearview camera and sensor too!
read newspaper today, another kid died, knocked by his mother car when reversing….
Korean suddenly turns swedish….the bad one
not that impressive. Good thing its a concept.
What is ‘Bayer’? Pharmaceuticals/Chemicals?
Gorgeousness… wonder if they can pull it off… :)

Maybe the people from P1 and P2 are more discreet? On the other hand, the Koreans are just hoo-haa-ing with their ride which turnes out to be an uninspiring daily driver.
But still agree with your opion that the Koreans are very daring in terms of their design philosophy. Bear in mind though, the chief designer for Hyundai is the former chief designer from Audi, who designed the “big mouth” for the entire Audi range.
The rear lights are a bit Gen-2-yish…
But then Korean cars can only tahan for about three years, my mum’s Carnival is giving us a lot of problems!!!
But then they might surprise us, time will tell.
whoah! The tyres are so low profile until they even exceeded Tamiya’s motorised racer toy. hehehehe.
Anyway, it’s just a concept but can be very deceiving esp. the ultra-ultra low profile tyres. No wonder many Malaysian car owners are “brainwashed” to install lower profile tyres/bigger rims regardless of their cars’ capabilities.
“Anyway, it’s just a concept but can be very deceiving esp. the ultra-ultra low profile tyres.”
its common practice to put on low profile tyres for concepts as its an accepted design practice that cars will always look good on low profile tyres(which is the whole point of a concept, to look good). All car designers do this. in fact, even SUV and 4×4 concepts at motorshows are usually shod with low profile tyres.
likewise, regardless of ones car or driving abilities, low profile tyres and larger rims also make your regular car look better. no harm in that.
wanna see in metal not paper
