Having shown you nearly everything there is to know already about the 10th-generation Honda Civic, it’s finally time for the Japanese car maker to reveal its Civic Coupe, and it will do so at the coming Los Angeles Auto Show next week.
Primed for the North American market, the new Civic Coupe will be based on its four-door sedan sibling’s architecture, which naturally means that there will be a lot of similarities in design and shared technology.
If you’re looking to do any guesswork as to what the Civic Coupe could look like, you would do well to remember a certain Honda Civic Concept that was previewed earlier this year at the New York Auto Show. The two-door model sporting a very athletic design theme then previewed the initial design of the 10th-generation Civic itself.
Power wise, the Civic Coupe should equally adopt a few options available to the regular Civic, including the new 1.5 litre turbocharged four-cylinder unit, which delivers 174 hp at 5,500 rpm, and 220 Nm of torque from 1,800 to 5,000 rpm. The US market also anticipates the arrival of a hotter Civic Coupe Si, the five-foor hatch, and their first-ever Civic Type-R.
