If you are hoping for more teasers of the new 2018 Audi A8, you’re in luck. The Ingolstadt-based carmaker’s latest marketing effort involves blindfolding several German bloggers, and letting them have a good “feel” of the upcoming sedan.

These images from Auto-Natives and Smart & Heart allow us to get even more intimate with the new A8, ahead of its official debut at the Audi Summit on July 11 in Barcelona.

The car being felt up here is the long-wheelbase version of the A8, denoted by the ‘A8 L’ badging, and is reportedly the range-topping variant. Therefore, it comes fully loaded with plenty of equipment, including some that were previewed to us previously.

For instance, the A8’s relaxation seat with foot massage function is present here, which is controlled by what is now revealed to be a removable tablet mounted on the rear centre console. Also visible is the A8’s revamped dash, which now features a large touchscreen for the car’s MMI infotainment system.

The interesting steering wheel design has already been seen in an earlier preview, but the touch panel for the car’s climate control system is certainly something that hasn’t been seen until now. According to the bloggers that were present, the car is equipped with Bang & Olufsen audio system, sunroof and soft leather upholstery.

On the outside, we get a close-up of the A8’s chrome Singleframe grille and what appears to be Audi laser light headlamps (likely an option). Meanwhile, the taillights sport modern-looking graphics within them, and appear consistent with those found on a prototype, including the light bar that links the left and right units.

If you need a refresher on what Audi has revealed so far, the new A8 will come with an active suspension system, Audi AI autonomous driving system, 48-volt main electrical system and multi-material Audi Space Frame.
