Recently, Audi invited several bloggers to experience the all-new 2018 Audi A8 for themselves, albeit without being able to use their sense of sight. This is because they were all blindfolded throughout the session, in what Audi refers to as a ‘blindtasting’ first impressions.
You’ve already seen the still shots from the event, now here’s the video that includes the personal opinions from said bloggers. You’ll also get to see different areas of the A8 with the covers lifted, although not in its entirety as it will only debut at the Audi Summit on July 11.
Suffice to say, the attendees were pretty impressed with what they experienced with their remaining senses, despite not being able to see the sedan’s styling, which is said to showcase the brand’s new design language for future models.
Audi has been relentless in teasing the new A8, first introducing the model’s multi-material Audi Space Frame, followed by the 48-volt main electrical system it will use. The sedan has been featured heavily in promotional campaigns for Spider-Man: Homecoming, and even has a starring role in the movie.
As the company’s flagship sedan, the A8 also comes with plenty of fancy tech, including an active suspension system, Audi AI autonomous driving system and rear relaxation seat. That last one is meant to provide pampering, and even comes with a foot massage function. Multiple touch panels are part of the new-age cabin, serving different functions ranging from infotainment, climate control and rear seat entertainment.
So, if you want to catch a glimpse of the all-new A8, head on over to the cinemas to catch Spider-Man: Homecoming. For those who are able to remain patient for a few more days, look forward to July 11 instead.

Buang masa. Want to show then show. No secret.
Audi A8L looks good.
boring…
Ask the bloggers to sketch out what they have sense through touch will see more creativeness. Or else just “raba” the car and cannot see the beauty of the new A8 is just “potong stim”….
How come they didn’t ask proper car people like Paul Tan, Chris Harris, James May, Salomondrin, Doug de Murro, etc to blind taste? Doug will give you the top quirks if you need to open the door if you are blindfolded and Salomondrin can do the trunk challenge blindfolded.
Concur,..not only a waste of time ,..as the Cantonese idioms ” Mou Gan Tai” (couldn’t be bother)
