Subaru BRZ STI Sport to debut in Tokyo – 100 units

This is the Subaru BRZ STI Sport, which is set to premiere at this year’s Tokyo Motor Show. Yes, its another special edition of the boxer-powered sports car, but this one is limited to just 100 units, making it rarer than a McLaren P1.

All of them will come with a special Cool Grey Khaki exterior body colour, and you’ll have to enter a lottery for the chance to buy one. Further details of the lottery and pricing will be announced later in October.

The BRZ STI Sport aims to deliver a “fun to drive” and “pure handling delight” experience, with plenty of tweaks to make it ride and handle better. For instance, body rigidity has been improved, and the car gets an exclusive suspension tuning.

Subaru also notes the car will receive plenty of exterior and interior enhancements to make the BRZ even more appealing. As far as we can see, a new alloy wheel design, black-painted side mirrors and shark fin antenna, plus a subtle rear wing are among the additions on the outside.

We reckon the 2.0 litre boxer-four under the bonnet will continue to be of service in the BRZ STI Sport, although whether it has been fettled with remains anyone’s guess. The limited-number BRZ will share the stage with the Viziv Performance Concept as well as the WRX STI S208, another car that will be offered via a lottery.

how can it be fun when you struggle to keep up with large vellfire on the highway with that 200nm torque…forget about drifting with that torque either…unless you pour a good amount of lube oil on the car park before you start drifting kakaka
