Volkswagen offers RM18k off, fuel card, Lego for CNY

It’s that time of the year again. Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) has just announced its “Leaders of the Pack” Chinese New Year campaign, offering rebates from RM3,000 to RM18,000 for the entire Volkswagen range. All variants of the Passat B8 can be had with a low interest rate of 0.88% per annum.

Also, as per our previous report, all Volkswagen cars purchased in 2018 come with a free three-year/45,000 km maintenance programme, covering all maintenance costs except wear-and-tear parts such as brake discs, brake pads, windscreen wipers and bulbs. Refer to the table below for the breakdown.

Those who book and register their preferred Volkswagen cars by February 28, 2018 will receive a free ‘Liquid Gold’ Petrol Card worth RM1,188, which equates to more than a whopping 10,000 km of travelling, claims the company. Additionally, the first 250 customers who book and register their Volkswagen cars by the said date will also be presented with a limited edition LEGO Volkswagen T1 Camper Van.

To qualify for the promotion and giveaways, all vehicle bookings must be made within the promotion period and is subject to terms and conditions, and while stocks lasts.

why bother if it’s either a 2017 or 2018 model on the reg paper? The resale value will tank hard either way cuz it’s a VW, so it wouldn’t make any difference whatsoever

Out of topic a bit but just wondering is there a possibility to get a brand new unregistered Y2017 unit of Mazda 3 fullspec below than RM100k?

Go ask Bermaz, you come to the wrong place. Of such a good deal exist, the internal staff would have snap it up before open it for outsiders.

As a Lego collector, that limited edition van is very tempting. Looking forward to buy a bigger car now. Sadly Sharan or Touran is not in the list.

Sadly the 2016 MK3 Touran and Sharan is not offered here. I own both the MK2 Sharan and Touran, both are superb family and people movers with good handling and power. Sharan comes with 9 airbags and 5 isofix. Touran with 6 airbags and 2 isofix. Feels safer when carrying your precious cargo ie. loved ones and little ones.

So far Touran after 3 years ownership sent in for 4 days to replace worn clutch pack and to claim broken sunblind, both under warranty. Sharan after 5 years only wear and tear issues like brake rotors and pads, speed sensors, vans belt and battery, no further issues. The 2.0 tsi is rock solid (same EA888 engine found in golf GTI) and 6 speed dual clutch is quick and silky smooth. The 1.4 7-speed dry clutch is more temperamental and prone to clutch wear. This 2 are my 3rd VWs, first was Golf, since 2012.

200k Passat highline. With 6,000 cash back.

    3% discount. WTF.

Go walk into any dealer of any marque and you could do a lot better on any last years models. Auto Bavaria and C&C might be even more generous, hell, maybe even score a new pre-reg 3er or C Klasse for less..

Agree. Getting Only 3% from a 2017 highline model now makes BMW & Mercedes a better proposition.

VW is going to end their business in Malaysia?

When VW takeover their business from local dealer, they promised that no more firesales.. no overnight price drop… blar… blar…

But in the past 6 months, we saw price drop.. offer packages different from month to month!

Before year end sales.. cash rebate for pre-own car, then year end sales, cash rebate with below1% interest rate! After which.. Christmas sales.. cash rebate with below1% interest rate, plus free maintenance for 3 years..

Now Chinese new year sales, extra cash rebate?

VW…you are making existing customer hate you cause they buy expensive last month, and make your potential customer confuse where you are heading… the confirmed wanna buy customer will wait another month to get better deal…till no ending and end up buy other car!

    VW is heading to Hell!

If you read carefully, this is about selling strategy, not about complaining !

All brand can bring car price down, but usually you do it may be once a year, the year end sales or last year car in Q1 of new year. I wonder if you ever see any brand drop their price every month?

VW….better not touch the car….becoz the repair will be more than the discount given. Just go to someworkshops and ask the problem of VW cars…..
