Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) has announced the availability of the Volkswagen Golf 1.4 TSI R-Line with Vienna leather seats, which will carry a nett price of RM159,888 (OTR price without insurance is RM160,608).
Prior to this, an early batch of Golf R-Line cars came with Zoom fabric upholstery like on the 1.4 TSI Sportline, which was sold at a lower price point (RM157,488 nett without GST). However, from now onwards, only the leather-equipped version of the Golf R-Line will be offered.
The Vienna leather seats (with integrated R-Line logos on the front backrests) aren’t exactly new additions as they were part of the Golf R-Line’s initial specifications when it was first launched back in March this year. This announcement is merely to confirm that customers can now order the Golf R-Line in said specification.
Along with the leather seats, the Golf R-Line also comes with an exterior package featuring dedicated front and rear bumpers, and a sports rear diffuser with trapezoidal chrome exhaust trim. The Golf R-Line rides on 17-inch Singapore alloy wheels wrapped with 225/45 series tyres.
The equipment list also includes adaptive LED projector headlamps, LED taillights with sequential turn signals, 12.3-inch Active Info Display, seven airbags, dual-zone climate control, 8.0-inch Composition Media infotainment system with eight speakers and a rear view camera.
Like the Sportline, a 1.4 litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine powers the R-Line, providing 150 PS at 5,000 to 6,000 rpm and 250 Nm of torque from 1,500 to 3,500 rpm. Drive is sent to the front wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch DSG transmission along with an XDS extended differential lock. Zero to 100 km/h is reached in 8.2 seconds and the top speed is 216 km/h.

I don’t understand why Perodua cannot design hatchbacks as nice as the golf. their cars tend to be skinny and tall. for sedans will be tongek.
I think malaysians with RM160k are not willing to take the risk on a VW.
DSG is still a problem in 2018 cars. Was in the Service Centre recently, so many 2018 cars broken down because of DSG issues
Buy Proton, suprima & persona gooder designed.
Because b segment is skinny and want better headroom is tall. If they make c segment it won’t be skinny lah
But other cars dun look tall and skinny, still can have good headroom. Sack the designer!!!
Yep take a look at all the other B segment models which are all about the same size but P2 isn’t competing in the B segment. They are in the micro aka Kei class.
But Polo hatch aint skinny nor tall.
Perodua did their best to mimicking their Myvi model. Half past 6 success
It looks gorgeous and style definitely like the R!!!! Love it!!!!!!!!
What a joke, local diy R leather seats.
should have bring in the 1.5evo engine
Better badge & power, same money. V40 252hp
