Kicking off the new year is Boon Siew Honda Malaysia, with the launch of the 2019 Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade SP superbike (RM114,999), the 2019 Honda CB1100RS retro sports bike (RM75,999) and the Honda Super Cub 125 retro kapchai (RM13,999). All three models are priced without road tax, insurance and registration.
Taking the charge is the CBR1000RR Fireblade SP which comes with an inline-four displacing 999 cc and pumping out 189 hp at 13,000 rpm and 114 Nm of torque at 11,000 rpm. Retailing at RM114,999 Ohlins does suspension duties for the Fireblade SP with NIX30 Smart-EC semi-active electronic upside-down forks and TTX36 Smart-EC electronic monoshock at the back.
Braking uses Brembo Monobloc callipers with twin floating discs on the front wheel and a single disc on the rear, with ABS and Honda Selectable Torque Control System (HSTC) traction control. Seat height on the CBR1000RR Fireblade SP is a racer-like 820 mm, with fuel carried in a 16-litre tank and weighing in at a kerb weight of 195 kg.
Next on the list of new releases for Boon Siew Honda is the retro-styled Honda Super Cub 125, priced at RM13,999. Carrying a very traditional air-cooled, two-valve, single-cylinder mill, power output for the Super Cub 125 is 9.1 hp at 7,500 rpm and 9.98 Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm.
With fuel capacity at 3.7-litres, the Super Cub 125 transmits power through a rotary four-speed gearbox and chain final drive. Braking is with a single hydraulic disc in front and drum brake at the rear, while weight is listed at 108 kg.
Rounding out the launch event is the 2019 Honda CB1100RS, with a price tag of RM75,999 and in the retro-style, coming with an air-cooled inline-four cylinder mill. Power figures for the CB1100RS is 88 hp at 7,500 rpm and 91 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm with power transmitted through a six-speed gearbox and chain drive.
Weighing in at 252 kg wet, the CB1100RS is suspended by telescopic SBDV front front forks and twin remote reservoir shock absorbers at the back. ABS is standard on the CB1100RS and braking is with twin hydraulic discs in front and single disc on the rear wheel.

This is a single seater Honda Super cub c125, selling $3,600 in US or £3,400 in UK. It is a kapchai if you want to see it that way. Don’t blame PH government so soon la. Blame HONDA first la for not building kapchai for most of us!
