2025 Perodua Bezza rendered again – launching soon?

We’ve been waiting quite a while for the next-generation Perodua Bezza to arrive. The original is now nine years old, and while it’s still by far and away the national carmaker’s best seller, it is very much showing its age, lagging far behind its stablemates in terms of tech and safety.

Thankfully, a replacement looks to be just around the corner. In February, the company announced that it would be introducing a full model change (FMC) for one of its existing models this year, joining its all-new electric car. We believe the company is referring to the next Bezza, as the nameplate is the one that most needs a refresh.

Photoshop wizard Theophilus Chin has worked his magic to create a rendering of the new sedan, using the Axia as a starting point and grafting on the rear end of the lesser-known Fiat Cronos. Other changes include slimmer headlights, a hexagonal grille and a more horizontal shoulder line, and the result is something that looks fairly attractive, don’t you think?

Perodua has previously stated that the new Bezza will take some inspiration from the winners of the Asian Sedan Design Challenge in 2023. If so, we can expect the car to feature a more outlandish design – perhaps something sportier, more akin to the forthcoming “QV-E” EV.

As for powertrains, expect the new Bezza to continue utilising the proven 1KR-VE 1.0 litre three-cylinder and 1NR-VE 1.3 litre four-cylinder engines, mated to the latest Dual-Mode CVT (D-CVT). The latter would be a first for the Bezza, which currently still uses a four-speed automatic transmission.

There’s also the possibility of a hybrid option being offered, something that Perodua has long hinted. The company even offered the Ativa Hybrid – essentially a rebadged Rocky e-Smart Hybrid – through a subscription plan back in 2022, but there has been no news on that front since then.

What do you mean “rendered again, launching soon”? It was your people who render this thing.
