动力方面，新的GLA 250e搭载了一套由2.0升四缸涡轮增压汽油引擎，以及电动马达所组成的插电式混动系统，在整体架构不变的情况下，马达输出功率增加了5kW达到了80kW。
传动系统方面，新车将提供七速与八速双离合两种变速箱可选。与此同时，它的外充设备将标配3.7kW的充电功率，可使用高达22kW的DC直流快充功率为电池充电。当然，它的纯电续航里程也有所提升。
而除了插混版以外，新的GLA汽油版全系也实现了电气化加持，搭配2.0升四缸涡轮增压引擎，以及48V电动马达所组成的轻混动系统，这套系统可额外提供短暂的10kW输出功率用于起步超车。
