Carnival in 2026 — what's new

For 2026, the KA4 facelift is the current Carnival in Malaysia. It keeps the 2.2D diesel formula, with 11- and 7-seat versions joined by the 8-seater. The 8-seater uses a 2-3-3 cabin layout and gets ADAS plus 12 Bose speakers, while ADAS is also listed for the 7-seater. A five-year Kia Maintenance Plan is available for the Carnival, priced from RM2,980.

Which variant to buy

The 8-seater at RM238,888 is the clearest family pick on paper: it has the useful 2-3-3 layout, confirmed ADAS and 12-speaker Bose audio, and it costs RM10,000 less than the 7-seater. The 11-seater at RM188,888 is for operators or large families that need maximum seat count at the lowest price. Pay RM248,888 for the 7-seater only if that cabin layout suits you better.

Verdict

The Carnival’s case is simple: nothing beats an MPV when the job is carrying people. The KA4 has previously impressed for the way it looks and drives, but it is still a large family mover first, not an automatic luxury-MPV answer for everyone. It is not the cheapest D-segment MPV entry point either, with the Toyota Innova Zenix and Hyundai Staria both starting lower.
