Car Buyer's Guide

Overview

The Wuling Bingo is a B-segment electric hatchback launched in Malaysia in 2025. It seats four and comes with a 67 hp electric motor, with two battery sizes separating the range. It suits buyers after a small EV hatchback rather than a five-seat family car, and costs from RM67,800.

Bingo in 2026 — what's new

No new 2026 model year is announced. The 2025-launched Wuling Bingo carries on with Pro and Max variants, using 31.9 kWh and 37.9 kWh batteries respectively. CKD production starts in Segambut in January 2026, followed by the first Malaysian customer deliveries in March. BLIS is standard on the Malaysian car from that delivery update.

Which variant to buy

Most buyers should choose the RM67,800 Pro if its 273 km range covers their normal driving. It has the same 67 hp motor, single-ratio automatic transmission and four-seat layout as the Max. Pay the RM5,000 more for the RM72,800 Max if the 337 km range matters regularly: the gap buys a 37.9 kWh battery rather than the Pro’s 31.9 kWh unit. On paper, range is the clear reason to step up.

Verdict

The Bingo gives Malaysian buyers a four-seat B-segment EV hatchback with a straightforward two-battery range. The Pro starts RM8,000 above the Proton eMas 5, but remains far below the RM100,000 Neta V and RM100,700 Dongfeng Box. Its 273 km or 337 km range is the deciding factor between trims. Ride, handling and real-world efficiency still need to be judged on the road.
