Chevrolet Cruze Interior Spyshot

Chevrolet Cruze

The spyshot above showing a dashboard with a Daewoo logo on the steering wheel has been widely accepted as being snapped from a Chevrolet Cruze. The upcoming C-segment sedan will replace the Cobalt and the Optra and will eventually find its way into our market replacing the Optra Magnum as GM has designated it a World Car.

The Malaysian (or rather ASEAN) will most likely lose some of the nifty stuff like the large LCD screen and perhaps have the center dash area simplified with manual air conditioning knobs and losing alot of other buttons in the process, but I think on the overall it’s quite good looking and reminds me alot of a Honda.

Look after the jump for two artist impressions from this month’s Autocar India based on the image of the Chevrolet Cruze exposed in GM’s presentation.

    Paul,

I agree with you on the overall looks good except the front grille. Looks like the car wearing the thin belt in zaman P.Ramlee’s movie la (second picture). The logo somemore made it look like a belt buckle! :-) Anyway, I feel really disappointed la when I heard we (Malaysian) will not getting all those tech features. Apa nie? Why we got second class treatment? Apa orang Malaysia takde duit ke? Sigh! :-(

I also kinda like the interior…lawa gak!

Just one glance reminds me of Accord but without the refinement.
Agree? Interior-wise, it’s not bad nor fabulous.

Looks alright except for the head scarf on the front grille, Interior-wise, the dashboard look alike with the Accord. The Lexus tail light is also quite nice.

Let’s see…the front grille and lights remind of the latest Accord, and the butt reminds of the current e90 3 series. The instrument cluster reminds me of an Alfa, and the centre console, the previous gen Accord. Hmmm…and also, the car seems to be lowered quite a bit as well! Overall, I would say…er…dunno la…its a mixed bag…

That steering reminds me of the Civic, if I’m not mistaken, because Civic was the very 1st car to have that design. But I kinda like the front, regardless the wearing-a-belt look. Designed for maximum air intake i suppose. And if the car is really THAT lowered, then it’s a sweet and sturdy ride. Just replace the original rim with an 18 incher. Me Loike !

I have seen this car up-close and personal at an auto show. This car is taking over the Cobalt, but it is bigger and has more safety options. It also gets great gas mileage. The new sleek design can attract any buyer, especially the price tag that will start around $14K! They are coming out in the latter part of this year and I hope to get one!
