Volkswagen Touran Park Assist System TVC

Volkswagen Touran

They really should make more amusing ads like this. Check out this Volkswagen Touran TV commercial after the jump. They’re promoting the car’s Park Assist system, which by the way is available locally on the Volkswagen Tiguan. The dude in the video can’t dance though but he kinda looks like Schumacher. The Touran is a Golf-based MPV that isn’t available in Malaysia, though there were a number of pre-owned ones (CrossTouran) sold off by Volkswagen Malaysia recently. Volkswagen recently announced that they will start assembly of the Touran in Indonesia.

Schumi is looking for side income, also to let his body loose a bit after spending years sitting in the driver’s seat :)

Would be more cool if u can stop… walk out of ur car… lock it… and it auto park.. shut off engine while u walking away..

but i don’t think it’s going to work in bolehland.. most ppl will start turning it off when in cowboy town… like jeremy clarkson turning off traction control everytime.. no matter how good they are..

    we’re parking god u know..

This would be the second case of comparing makes for me. But it is so glaringly obvious I’d have to say it. It hits home as my wife owns a 2003 Trajet GLS and the resemblance is remarkable.

Door Handles, Those plastic trims under the lights, trims along the door, even the rear looks like a Kia Carnival around the same age (which happens to be a decade ago).

The interior doesn’t look very veedub. It makes the Transporter look more appealing. What gives?

maybe future Exora can have this kind of features….

what’s so hard about parallel parking anyway….

i just pretend there are imaginary poles just like in the driving school and pretend there is a kancil emblem on my steering wheel and count how many times it rolls (although with the speed sensitive steering this no longer applies since it takes only one turn to turn the wheel fully during parking) and then stick my head out to see if the tyres are in the right position..

apa nak heran kalau takat parking sendiri tak ada apa faedah buat tambah beban pasai kena tambah duit tak tentu pasai. lain la kalau depa buat kereta yang boleh pi cari parking sendiri.lepas tu kereta mai balik dekat kita. contohnya macam ni la kita pi shopping di supermarket dekat kaunter parking kita turun lepas tu dia pi park sendiri lepas habis shopping kita tekan remote saja dia mai kat mana kita duduk

Side parking is difficult for ladies

They can park a 4-5 inch willy at nights in a 3inch ‘whole’ but cannot side park in a 4 metre space in broad daylight

so what….. every technology is progressing so does in car…unnecessary for you but what about those handicap or disables who might benefice the system…

please dont be so selfish plus negative minded (system fail when YOU make it fail)
