Five years free service with Peugeot 408 purchase

Peugeot 408

Peugeot distributor Nasim is now offering five years of free service with every purchase of a Peugeot 408, in which the company will cover the cost for parts – except for wear and tear items – and labour for regular scheduled maintenance for the 408 for a five-year (or 100,000 km) period.

Applicable to both the 408 Turbo and 408 2.0, the five-year free service campaign will only be for cars purchased between May 6 and May 31, 2013. Since its launch in May 2012, over 1,300 units of the 408 have been sold in Malaysia to date, and over 1,000 have been exported to other ASEAN markets.

    • Ugly car! Elentra and City r better looking than this one!

      • Not really. City is too short because it is based on a hatchback and is stumpy and tall rather than sleek. The Elantra is currently pretty decent but the point is, different people, different pov. I think this looks way better than the City imho and neater than the Elantra which I feel is trying just too hard to stand out… again, imho.

Honest question, what lousy specs are you talking about?

I’ve been in the 1.6 turbo only. Very good sized back seats, lots of legroom, good safety features, more responsive engine than most other C-segment sedans, large boot. Aside from the brand recognition, the specs for safety, size and performance are as good or better than the equivalent Civic, Altis or Mazda 3 at roughly the same price so I don’t understand the “lousy spec” comes from.

      trolling T salesman detected….

yo salesman, if your products have so much value, are you putting up similar or better offering such as Peugeot right now? if not, quit trolling and STFU.

in the context of this article, if consumers want to compare the current offer and specs-wise, definitely this car offers so much more than whatever that T salesman selling in the long run.

Is there a new version of this car? It seems completely at odds with the current Peugeot design family.

it’s very good car and spacious interior. My husband almost want to place the order but just wondering abt the maintainace cost. It’s not cheap to maintain the car. No doubt of the performance and interior space. Don’t compare the outlook wt Japanese car. it’s not for showing, it’s for comfort as it’s continental car !!

408 is not considered an easy-to-drive car, steering is quite heavy. Overall it feels very solid and weighty, more suitable for male drivers.

  • On the whole, this car is a mixed bag, similar to the mixed reactions on its look. The interior felt roomy and some parts look & feel better than its competitors. However, other parts, like the ignition, seems like being shoe-horned into the car; like it is supposed to be more equipped and better built but was stripped down a bit to save cost.

Nevertheless, it’s a pretty decent offering by Nasim.

  • I highly recommend this car should be bought from Mr Thong(from glenmarie, now may be in Puchong). He is very helpful ( > 100%). I am very happy with his after sell service. Peugeot is lucky to have such a sales manager in the company. I will come back to buy peugeot again because of him.

Can any owners or friends of owners of 408t please confirm how well this car performs on ron95? Cause my colleague only uses ron97 for his 308t cause he says for ron95 he feels there is jerk beginning of acceleration from standstill. Pls advise.

  • Fuel consumption is around 0.20/ km in town driving. Long distance will be 800/rm90. It’s good and comfortable car. I had it for 10 months , engine is just noisy.
