The just-announced third-generation F56 MINI hatchback that you read about earlier today is in Tokyo – we managed to get a quick spread of shots while walking past the MINI stand; both the red and yellow shades as seen in the official photos are on call at the TMS.
This is the largest MINI hatch yet, though the increase in size not really that noticeable in the metal. The headlamps are quite prominent though, amplified by the horseshoe-shaped LED light bar DRL, lending the new car a rather distinct face.
As mentioned in our earlier post, there’s a three-cylinder 1.5 litre turbocharged petrol for the Cooper, a 2.0 litre four-pot turbo petrol for the Cooper S and a three-cylinder turbodiesel for the Cooper D. Transmission choices are a six-speed manual as standard, and a six-speed auto or sports auto as options.

just asking, is there any other revived retro model from other manufacturer (fiat 500, etc..) that sell this well, going consistently strong since 2001? Or any other supermini, retro or not, for that matter ?
