MINI John Cooper Works concept is Detroit-bound

It’s time for the really hot MINI. Next month’s Detroit show is set to welcome the MINI John Cooper Works concept – we don’t have to tell you what it previews. Based on the new F56 MINI, the JCW concept features enlarged air intakes in place of the fog lamps, LED headlamps and a black grille surround.

The protruding ‘chin’ has been reworked into a three-shape affair, and the JCW-exclusive bodykit also comprises side skirts and a rear apron with flaps and diffuser element. There’s also a roof spoiler and several aerodynamic body add-ons – including unique side gills with integrated indicator flashers.

That shade – also exclusive to the JCW – is called Bright Highways Grey, and there’s red on the roof, spoiler, wing mirrors, brake callipers, rim wells of the 18-inch JCW alloys and many other areas. The sports stripes are finished in Chili Red for the bonnet and boot lid, and in white for the roof.

The MINI John Cooper Works is also equipped with a sports exhaust system and JCW silencer. The twin centrally-positioned chrome-finish tailpipes sport the JCW logo.

The road-going version, when it surfaces later in 2014, is expected to be powered by a tuned version of the F56 Cooper S‘ 2.0 litre four-cylinder engine – reports say around 217 hp could be had. The current JCW hatch has 211 hp at its disposal.

Only a real bodoh will pay RM250,000k on a toy car. Mini buyers are just attention seekers craving for attention. The metal and iron on this junk is not worth even RM50k. Any mini is really a toy car for those people with inferiority complex looking for attention

So you drive a Toyota? Best RV in the world? Mini is a terrific car though. Should try it some time. Better than the Hilux’s RV but the Mini’s overpriced which makes it a bit of a senseless spiffy. The Fiesta though. Nuff’ said.
