The Paris Motor Show in October is set to welcome the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV Concept-S, which the Japanese carmaker has released a few teaser pics of. Darkened they may be, one can instantly see it’s an evolution of the Mitsubishi Concept XR-PHEV, which made its public debut at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show.
This follows two years after Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) premiered its Outlander PHEV plug-in hybrid electric Twin Motor SUV/crossover at the 2012 Paris Motor Show, of which we have actually test driven. Though officially a concept for now, the public can expect the next-generation Outlander PHEV hybrid to more or less resemble what we see here with a few alterations to the styling cues.
The Outlander PHEV Concept-S is currently proposed, as quoted by MMC, as a “special package” of the production Outlander PHEV model. It will have a refined interior and an exterior that convey the Outlander PHEV’s unique driving experience.
Expect more details and photos of the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV Concept-S when it makes an appearance at the 2014 Paris Motor Show in the first week of October.

If only this is the face of the new Mitsu Lancer..
so when is new 2.0 TURBO EVO RALLIART version coming?
This face is thoroughly contemporary. They’re going with a face that’s reminiscent of the Honda City, the Kia Forte, and the Land Rovers, to a certain extent. Not saying being contemporary is a bad thing, though, because these are faces that work and they have already had that 2 bar grille with the logo in the middle since the Outlander. But it seems that this might be the end of their jet fighter grilles, which really set their cars apart from the rest. I hope they do keep some iteration of the jet fighter grille…
Actually, maybe since the Pajero.
Mr Mitsubishi, where is the new Lancer?? Sick & tired or SUVs..
