It may be over, but nothing like a reminder of what was, and what is to come – Ford’s new video of the 2015 Mustang has the pony car prancing around with Ordos horsemen in Mongolia as well as doing drifts on empty Chinese highways, as part of a tribute to the recent Year of the Horse.
The chosen pony is a manual 5.0 litre GT, with with Formula Drift’s Vaughn Gittin Jr – the man behind the Mustang RTR – at the wheel. No RTR on call, but the Coyote 5.0 litre V8’s 435 hp at 6,500 rpm and 542 Nm at 4,250 rpm is more than enough for the job at hand.
The 5.0 GT features an electronic line-lock, which locks the front brakes and releases the rear ones for a controlled burnout, but chances are Gittin wouldn’t have had a need for that.
China is of course one of the first export markets to get the sixth-generation Mustang, and primary models for the global market will be the 2.3 litre EcoBoost (which puts out 310 hp at 5,500 rpm and 434 Nm at 3,000 rpm) and the 5.0 litre GT, with transmission choices being a six-speed Ford/Getrag MT-82 manual or a six-speed ZF-based 6R80 SelectShift auto with paddle shifters.

Why compare t.86 to this car? Weird dude! Its not same segment!aiyoo! Car segment is golf R, camaro , dodge, .. car that hv speed, raw wth under 350k price est. I love ford since fiesta & focus!, very goid handling plus tech. Nice car! Mustang will arrive in malaysia soon 2016. Overall this car will satisfy boys tht need, raw, speed, angry design, 2 door, praticality…the price mybe close to 5 series & A5( mid luxury car).. but dude tht need raw car of course dont pick 5 series & A5.. hehe… what do you think? Mustang is the adrenaline guys cars. Instead of now we only a choice from. GolfR, scirocco R, GTR( recond), Focus St, megane coupe. I bet this car only for guys who like sportfeel car, raw, high hp, full of tech. The price est like 5 series or A5( mid luxury seg).. but i dont like this luxury…stangs is my blood dude!
