Production Subaru Exiga 7-seater MPV coming soon

Subaru will be launching the production version of its 2007 Tokyo concept car, the Subaru Exiga. The Subaru Exiga is a 7-seater low-rider MPV that is 4780mm long, 1775mm wide and 1630mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2750mm.
Although many reports the production Exiga to be Impreza-based, the concept version’s wheelbase and dimensions are more similiar to the Camry-based Toyota Mark X Zio (2776mm wheelbase) and the Honda Odyssey (2830mm wheelbase).
In fact, the Exiga may have the next generation Legacy’s platform under its skin; the current fourth generation Legacy has a 2670mm wheelbase, so an increase to about 2750mm sounds logical.
Otherwise, the production Exiga could end up being a smaller car than the concept version if it is based on the Impreza. One thing’s quite likely - parts from the Impreza/Forester parts bin will be used, including the 5-speed Sportshift automatic and the 2.0 liter (or 2.5 liter) turbocharged horizontally opposed engine.

the exterior is too radical and aggressive too.
the interior is somehow not practical especially with white dashboard.
the interior and exterior do look like a concept car but it IS a production car.

this is just a concept car. its how concept car looks like.
production car wont be that aggressive/fierce looking and i think they will scrap the sky roof concept.

if only the interior will be in actual production model…… how sweet……

Thats why it is called concept. Rarely the original item. Thats quite a long vehicle. Side parking might be a pain.

too much bling at rear!
but concept are usually has a lot blings as usual…. wish it would have lesser blings than their current Impreza!

hmm, the shape looks abit unorthdox. i prefer caldina.
and look at the amount of LCDs, thought i was looking at Pimp My Ride.
but its a concept, and concept cars are usually flashy.
kinda like women, looks good from far, not so good when near. LOL.
don’t flame me!

I wonder if this is Caldina? After all, Subaru belongs to Toyota now.
I’m very impress with the looks, especially the wonderful Panoramic roof. It has been many years since Subaru last produce any decent looking vehicle.
I always love the stability and power of the Subaru, hope this will bring out the spark they need.

Too sporty. Even Caldina is a 5 seater instead of the 7 seater MPV. A station wagon?

This is a great car to drive around town for sure. You will definitely catch a lot of attention with it, not to say this car from Subaru.

What’s happening to Subaru’s design these days? Interior design looks fine to me but the exterior looks dull, kind of ‘forced’ design.
