2012 Volkswagen New Beetle to get new design

Volkswagen LogoVolkswagen development chief Ulrich Hackenberg says the next generation 2012 Volkswagen New Beetle would get a new design. He did not say how radically different the new design would be, but he pointed us to how the designers of Volkswagen’s Audi brand did the successor to the Audi TT, a modern car with an iconic shape.

skinny steering, off set pedal bias to the left (RHD), lowly shifter with pure metal linkages feel, unservoed brakes but ediquate,
but old beetle a piece of beauty and actually never feel outdated driving it,
and parts are brazilian cheap, feel like want to be back behind its wheel again

basically, the new audi TT looks almost similar to the old audi TT. i suppose that where the design of the new beetle will head towards.

when porsche says their car will be radical, they probably meant the way it delivers its performance, not its iconic 911 looks. it will be downright stupid of porsche to change the way it looks as thats what makes the 911 one of the best selling sports cars in the world. The customer is always right.
