BMW 760Li V-12 25 Years Edition: all sold in three days

BMW 760Li V-12 25 Years Edition: all sold in three days

Load it up with tons of exclusive features and mod cons, offer it in small numbers, and you’re on to a winner. Such is the case with the BMW 760Li V-12 25 Years Edition, which BMW USA announced last Friday. Just 15 units are to be made, for the US market. All are accounted for, snapped up by Monday.

The 25th anniversary edition 760Li is a homage to the quarter century of the company’s association with automotive V12 engines, which began back in 1987 with the introduction of its first V12, the M70B050, in the then groundbreaking E32 750iL.

The V-12 25 Years Edition 760Li features 20-inch Individual wheels wrapped with performance tyres, Shadowline exterior trim and a full range of exterior colour choices, but the real action is of course inside.

Items include BMW Individual Champagne Full Merino Leather and, exclusively for this model, black piping – contrasting piping in Champagne is to be found on the black floormats and rear footrests.

Elsewhere, there’s BMW Individual Piano Black Wood trim, rear seat entertainment with iDrive control and liberal servings of Alcantara. And to remind the 15 what it is they’re in, the door sills, headrests and iDrive controllers all wear special “V-12 25 Years Edition” badging.

No mechanical changes to the N74B60 mill on this one, with the 6.0 litre Twin Turbo V12 continuing on with 535 hp at 5,250 rpm and 750 Nm at 1,500-5,000 rpm.

Wow good, V12. To American, it is like Malaysian buying an ordinary S-Class (USD 800OOO, I guess) which is within the reach of many of us.
And, the interior: this is called luxury, in case the some Camry owners(who always think that their ALmighty cars are better than RR in Malaysia) don’t know.

Camry is the King of D-Segment (worldwide) for very good reasons, it’s comfortable, it’s reliable, it’s durable,it’s dependable, it’s spacious, it’s great looking and most of all it does not kwai tai / sui kwan like european and korean makes

i got 2 korean cars and 1 conti. all aged between 5-8 yrs with more than 100k mileage. non of them sui kwan like your bogus claims. its only ppl that do not service their car on schedule that face this prob. in fact i have 2 friends that their camry sui kwan on the way up genting and another camry engine leak badly beyond repair.
he had to sell of the car cheaply well below market value.

anyway…only a fool will compare a camry to a BMW 7 series. one is like cheap beer / toddy while the other is like the finest moet champagne.

Hi Paul Tan, understand you drive a 520d for sometime now. Are you no overly concern about many stories in internet car forum about N47 diesel engine timing chain snap prematurely. What is your mileage now? I am thinking of purchase X1 sdrive 20d but is concerned of reliability of N47 engine. What is your taught?
