Kia will be showcasing this concept car at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. We only have this cropped shadowy exterior view and one high angle view of the interior now, but all will be unveiled at Frankfurt.

It’s supposed to be a B-segment design study that will be used to gauge potential customer response for future cars destined for the showroom. Kia’s global B-segment car is the Kia Rio, so at first we were wondering if this car previews a next generation Rio.

We spotted a current Kia Rio design cue in the interior photo that was released – the four switch-style buttons you see on this concept car’s dashboard are similiar to the current generation Kia Rio‘s climate control control buttons.

However, given that the two large LED “spotlights” featured on the car’s bumper is a design feature that’s typically found on off roaders, it makes us believe this concept car most likely previews a B-segment SUV to go against the likes of the Ford EcoSport and Nissan Juke.
