The Suzuki iK-2 and iM-4 concepts, which are set to make their debut in Geneva, have broken cover – a post by Instagram page @SuzukiCars has offered what are allegedly the first images of the new duo.

The iK-2 study previews the company’s all-new hatch, effectively the upcoming Maruti-badged YRA five-door hatch that was spied late last year. Previous reports from India have intimated that the new car will sit above the Swift hatch, being larger and more premium in outlook.

The reports also hint at a new powertrain choice for the car in the form of a 1.0 litre turbo petrol engine, in addition to a diesel unit. When it arrives, the YRA is set to compete against the likes of the Hyundai Elite i20, Volkswagen Polo and Honda Jazz.

The iM-4 concept, meanwhile, is a small 4×4 that might well offer the first glimpse of the next Jimny – the replacement for the long-serving third-gen JB43, which made its local debut in late 2013, is reportedly arriving in the market sometime in 2017.

Speculation is there that the iM-4 might be the Maruti YBA that is due to be introduced in India later this year, where it will go up against offerings such as the Ford EcoSport.

The Suzuki iK2 concept styling looks very nice ,hopefully it should remain intact for the production version. Although Suzuki has a habit of severely downgrading the production car design from the concept car design, which is a big shame.Suzuki should learned the lesson this time..
